Oops! My Mistake, Sorry!

My ex-girlfriend went on vacation just over two weeks ago and called before she left to let me know she'd be going and told me she'd be gone a week.

Well, we still talk but things have sometimes been tenuous and when she didn't call to let me know she'd gotten back, I assumed she was in a snit again or something. I waited a week and then thought she was miffed about something and wasn't going to call. Knowing I hadn't done anything, I started to get miffed myself then I tried her cell phone but couldn't get it to ring thru so thought she had it turned off or on ignore.

So, I texted her daughter and said I'd been trying to get a hold of her mom and then used my cell and got thru to her voicemail and left a message. Then, I left for Oklahoma to go to the casino (no cell service there).

Anyway, when I got home, STILL no message from Cindy so I'm thinking WTF! she'd know I'd be worried..

It was only then that I discovered my house phone handset had apparently died.. I tried calling from my cell and my phone rings and rings, doesn't answer.. so she may have called and couldn't get thru so I was getting pissed for nothing..

Shows how often someone calls me at home.. must have been out almost two weeks and I never noticed.

Phone line's being repaired tomorrow and I talked to her on my cell today so it's all good now..

The thing is great that you are able to talk to your ex and her daughter. I had a sort of reflex reaction to that as well. But than I thought Geez. If only I can still be friend to the extent you are, would sorta of rock my world. This is the one thing woman complain about. If only the man and I would have a friendship relationship before and after having sexual relations/or serious relationship....

It's nice she still responds to you. Which I feel is awesome, and something is underlying in your two's relationship. Cool. Maybe, someday.

Yeah, unfortunately it's kinda long distance (she's 5 hrs away). She's said long ago that there's no chance we'll get back together but the way I look at it, if we're still talking there's still a chance.

I still talk to the daughter because we were actually pretty close at one point. I lived with her mom 2 years and have known her (and her mom, of course) for 5 so it'd be a shame if we didn't keep in touch.

We'll see, I guess.. it's really at the point that I'm not caring which way it goes at this point so long as it is honest and amicable.

I agree, to keep in touch with your ex when you still have feelings is pretty awesome.
