Onhold, Pending Delete, Lists, where are they coming from?

Can someone please tell me where the feeds come from for drop lists? I don't want a formatted list, I'm looking to get an updated list of status changes as they occur. Anyone know where to start?

I'm interested in various TLDs.

There are many drop lists services, most quality ones for a fee, like Exody.com and DropLists.net...

How do we know that droplists & exody aren't screening the lists themselves before releasing them?

How are they getting the lists?

They are getting the zone files from the respective registries and then processing them for their users.
