I received a $100 for MyFights.com

Afternic charges a $60 minimum, so I'd be netting a whole $40 (- the 2 regfees I've paid for it so far -Paypal fees). So, what should my counter offer be? (or, should I sent it to their auction?)

Keep!

I'd keep it - and I'd look for someone in the boxing/gambling industry who would use it as a boxing news/reults site or boxing betting site, etc. Or build a boxing/gambling minisite where you'll get nice gambling related PPC rev.

I should be more than $120 for sure. Good luck!

I've no idea what it's worth, but if you wanted to sell, you could sell it on tdnam, their fee is much lower (5%, $5 minimum) IMHO, a $60 minimum is ridiculous.

I declined the $100 offer.
The buyer messaged me through Afternic and basically asked me what to bid. I told them $500 and a few hours later I had an offer of $500.
Maybe I could've gotten more, they seemed to really want the name, but I have no regrets.
The sale has finally been completed, and now I'm just waiting on the direct deposit from Afternic.

Thanks for everyone's advice.

Way to go RegFee, you may have gotten more as they snapped it up pretty quick at 500, but hey, you may have gone in at 1,000 and lost the sale, you just never know. At least you got some money in the bank. Congrats on the sale.

I lost many sales for asking more, sometimes it`s really what you want or need and not what you hope to get.

Good luck Reg fee! I'd try and get a sale outside Afternic unless you can get much higher offers -- certainly not worth giving 3/4 of your sale to Verisign, Paypal and Afternic!

Congrats
It's a decent deal. In the domain market, you never know when it is too high or too low.
All the best
Cheers

Congrats, but I wish you'd kept it. I would have offered more. :(
That was an excellent name with huge branding potential. That guy will probably make it all back just from t-shirt sales from the first few months alone.

I guess I should pay more attention here, but looking at the Serious Pimp site he'd probably had deeper pockets than me.

As far as AfterNic, Sedo, and similar sites are concerned, I think it's just a waste to post anything on them. Most people who contact you probably visited your site first, than finding it through a listing. I just post an email image on all my sites so people can quickly know how to contact me, which has worked very well for me. Sometimes when I'm hit with a low offer and I really want to sell, I'll place the site for sale on eBay and let the interested party know. This way others will have a chance to bid up the price.

My system evaluates myfights.com at $555 and although it is of course not perfect, the result does suggest that you sold at the correct market value :) well done

Nice Sale...

Definitely worth more than the initial bid, $500 isn't bad in the end...
