This is what the whole thread was about before it went technical? It was about misleading people into thinking that these alt domains are generic domains , and they were sold here on namepros for newbies for that same reason too?

1. We previously pulled the OpenNIC TLDs so they cannot be bought. There are now just 2 Alts:

All I noticed is that while you were answering questions you were always avoiding explaining why that misleading page was there in the first place.
Let me remind you that this has been written by you guys , and you haven't even apologized for that.

@Rob Monster @Pat8 Few days back, I have purchased one (ALT) domain from EPIK marketplace, and asked regarding non resolving DNS. I have already support ticket regarding that. Your support team told me that they found some issue resolving ALT domains, and if we face any troubles, then we will receive refund. Now, If that domain is not syncing with OpenNIC, then i will surely request refund. How can i request refund for that?

There will be an after-market for Alt Domains. However, we suspended selling OpenNic domains for the time being. Domains that were sold will continue to resolve on Epik and Toki.

The reference is to invite folks to verify that indeed that it is as advertised -- it resolves OpenNIC domains. The download is fast now but you will need a Raspberry Pi server:

I see that the .o extension is not operating properly. I'm assuming the person or group in charge of running the .o extension maybe lost interest or maybe had to deal with unforseen circumstances.

I'm not currently aware of any such issues with the .O namespace on OpenNIC. If you have a concern you can definitely DM me and I can take a look.

I'm really sorry, but this still doesn't explain why you're commercing the alternate DNS root extensions.

I actually prefer to use browser plugin, change my DNS manually or use an application to automatize DNS changing.

It's not necessary to purchase anything when it can be done freebie.

They are different though, no?

.o vs o/

and .o cannot resolve on it's own, but o/ can. And they don't share same dns resolvers.

Confusion once 2nd level domains start getting added because then o/ becomes example.o/, and then what of example.o??

These TLDs are overlapping because they aren't respecting a space already being accounted for. However at least we shouldn't see alt/chain domains overlapping traditional DNS extensions as that space is being respected.
