Since the launch of .mobi I have developed a few sites and sat back to wait for the mobile internet to become more popular.

I haven't looked at any of the stats for them in about a year and to my surprise,
P-O-K-E-R.mobi was among the the top with over 50,000 hits in the last year and its consistanly getting between 175-225 hits a day and climbing.

Ive been out of the .mobi loop for a while, is this a good number for a basic .mobi site?? It seems good, I was pleasantly suprised.

Anyone else getting alot of traffic to their .mobi??

I think its good considering its just sitting there with out you advertising :)

I Was just comparing with my iPad stats ipad 35,000 hits and 7,500 visits since September.(don't know uniques but im guessing about 5,000) And I advertised it a few times

I just checked my other gaming site Zem. In the past 20 days it has 44,000 hits 1,600 visits (500 unique visits)

Now I think the reason for zem being so high, is all the keywords and pages for the hits, alot of bots I think.

Do you know how many visits and unique visits Runsome?

Yeah what's the revenue like? Hits without revenue just means wasted bandwidth.

Check some mobile search sites. Your parked page is probably ranked well if it complies.

Traffic without revenue is wasted bandwidth on ANY site using ANY extension.
Properly built mobi websites, use less bandwidth then a normal website. It's not as big a deal as having a full blown website.

Congrats Runsome on your P-O-K-E-R.mobi getting loads of traffic. Traffic is a good thing for the mobile web and your .mobi

Great stats.

Your website just shows rankings of poker hands though. It would be impossible to generate much income with just that. You need a poker or gambling affiliate on the site to generate some revenue. All that traffic would earn some cash.

Another option is to have people play poker directly from the site, while on the go. The problem with that is gambling or poker software is so expensive to buy.

This is a problem for all mobi sites right now. There isn't a lot to offer as far as revenue is concerned.

I am thinking affiliate sites are the way of the future. We need some people to develop programs for the masses.

Hopefully, Google Android will address this in the future.

Thanks for the replies. As far as clicks go, they are nothing to write home about. over the past year Ive been using one ADmob ad at the bottom of the page. Now I have repositioned them and added google adsense to the top of the page to encourage more clicks... we'll see

I agree with you 100% I am currently looking into affiliates as we speak thanks for the insight.. I wish I had the time and money to really do it up. Maybe soon.
