NP Seller wants BUYER to send Auth Code

I bought a LLLL.com domain in the NP forum a few days ago. The domain is at Moniker. The seller has been asking ME for the auth code to perform a transfer. I have sold several domains through Moniker/Traffic, but I have never been a buyer where the seller is at Moniker.

I have *always* generated "auth codes" for domains that I have sold. It would seem that only the seller can generate auth codes for domains that they control (otherwise anybody could transfer any domain). I don't even know how to generate an auth code for a domain that I do not control... in fact that is the basis of the security system.

I sent the seller the user account name at Moniker, and the email I use at Moniker, but the seller wants me to generate the "Auth Code" to transfer a domain that I do not own. HELP!

Is there some Auth Code at Moniker that means something different than the Auth Code used by every other registrar on earth?

We have exchanged several emails, and the seller still wants the buyer to send him the Auth code...

Thanks in advance,
Marc

Moniker domain push (seller) instructions:

Step 1: Enter the Account Number you wish to push domains to.

Step 2: Enter the Current Authorization Code from the account your pushing into. The Current Authorization Code should be sent to you by the receiving account holder. They can find it under My Account, Security Settings in the blue menu bar.

Step 3: Enter your account password for security purposes.

Step 4: Select the contact settings to use for the domains being pushed (your settings or the receiving account settings).

Step 5: Select Email Confirmation and Notification.

Thanks! I have never been on the receiving end at Moniker, just the sending end. Now I know Moniker has a receiving auth code too.

I will rep you as soon as I post this!

A bit more detail:
To find the Current Authorization Code:
In the blue menu bar near the top of the page find "My Account".
A menu drops down from "My Account". Click "Security Settings".
Copy the entire Current Authorization Code (near page bottom)

Fortunately there is something there that says that it is OK to send it to the seller - I would not like to go around sending codes to strangers.

by the way, the "Moniker Auth code" is not the normal Auth code that you normally use to transfer out.

Its a special security code. :)
