I was able to pick up these two names in the 5th day of EAP for a great price. All the highly targeted keywords like news and porn sold in the 2nd day of EAP for around $3,400 each. Please share any of your .now, and your thoughts on the potential future. For some reason, I prefer this extension to .deal that also is in EAP.

Nonsence meaning for brand like .io (sure i want company with input output extension).
Only hindrance compared to king .com is that 3x-10x renewal price.

Reason why I will pay for some .now domains forever is simple idea that I get 1 word keyword domain and only 3x renewals pricer compared to .com.

At the moment I have 58 which represents about 5% of my portfolio, I would say after renewals it will represent 2.5%, I'm sure that I will try and add some new ,nows also if they become available.

It definitely has something very appealing about it, this has been evidenced by the sales that have already been achieved out of very little promotion and very few domains on offer, lots of live site and real world use also.

Yeah. That is the feeling when you list throw alternative TLDs for your project and hardly find anything that suit your vision. But .now seem to be fitting nicely to many use cases. I think its better expetension than established .net. I would make project with .net only If I want save renewals. But it is just hipotetical thought because .net 1word dictionaries domains are taken anyway.

And 5% sounds healthy. I will have probably higher number, I rather scrath some 2word makeups .com and add some .now dictionaries. I am still on build up stage so cant tell number yet. Maybe 10-20% for me.

I understand your trepidation. However know they raised $65 million https://unstoppabledomains.com/blog/ud-raises-65-million and they are ICANN certified. So we should be ok (although things happen at registrars).

Same sort of thing could happen anywhere. At least at UD (as with Namecheap/Spaceship & Dynadot) the CEO's are avail and respond to customers. But I've never heard from the PorkBun CEO. And there is no record of them raising any funds (not necessarily a bad thing, but the key to trust is the fact they're ICANN certified). So if something goes wrong, we should ultimately be able to get our names out.

I moved many .now's to UD. They are solid, but not spectacular. I put them on par with PorkBun & Namecheap in terms of UI but behind Dynadot & Spaceship. However, they are making improvements weekly. Perhaps someday they'll be alongside those 2.

Price aside, I would've stayed with Dyna - but the UD price was too good to pass up. Hopefully, they don't turn out to be another Sav (a company who offers low prices, but who fails at every turn). On the positive side outside their UD's middling, but improving UI - their CS and team are very responsive and take many suggestions to heart (similar to how Richard at Spaceship and Todd at Dyna do). Meanwhile, I've suggested many improvements to Porkbun and they've never implemented one.
