hi guys, what do you think the best domain of .Link, .House, Holiday, International and .Marketing ?

since this extention open on this months, and the ext name quite nice

My opinion
.Link : Back.Link (I think it will reg on first day EAP)
.House : Luxury.House
.Marketing : Internet.Marketing ( Today was Registered at $12,000+)
.Holiday : Cheap.Holiday (Today was Registered at $12,000+)
.International : Hotel.International or Flight.International

in my opinion, back.link is one of the best domain gtld,, it's really really nice

So what's your opinion?

Here are some of the few "sensible" .link domains left that Uniregistry isn't reserving and registrars where they are available to register (all Registrar URLs are .com unless otherwise stated):

HowTo.link (onlydomains, sibernames, uniteddomains, enom, netim, gandi.net)
SiteDesign.link (enom, netim, 101domains)
TLD.link (instra, united, enom, netim, gandi.net)
MyEmail.link (all registrars)
MyFamily.link (all registrars)
MyResume.link (all registrars)
MyPortfolio.link (all registrars)
ClimateChange.link (uniteddomians, enom, netim, 101domains)
EcoFriendly.link (sibernames, netim)
Environmentalist.link (uniteddomains, enom, netim, 101domains)
FairTrade.link (netim)
GreenBuilding.link (instra, name, sibername, united, enom, netim, 101domains)
GreenDesign.link (instra, sibername, united, enom, netim, 101domains)
Greenest.link (enom)
GreenLiving.link (101domain, onlydomains, sibername, united, enom, netim, 101domains)
GreenUp.link (enom)
OffGrid.link (netim)
TreeHugger.link (netim)
RenewableEnergy.link (all registrars)

The more you want a domain, the more Registrars you should register the same domains with to increase your chances to get it (the losing registrars will give you a full refund). If any are no longer available at the noted Registrars, then it's likely someone in this forum was faster.

What the heck is .link for? Most of the other new gTLDs have obvious uses, the mnemonics of .link escape me.

What the heck is .link for? Most of the other new gTLDs have obvious uses, the mnemonics of .link escape me.

  • .link is not restricted to commercialization (.com), networks (.net), organizations (.org) or countries (.us). It is appropriate for anything!
  • .link signifies that it's an internet address. For example, .photography doesn't and needs the cumbersome "www" prefix.
  • .link looks better in text, for example, "here is MyResume.link" is far more appealing and memorable than: "Here is the link to my resume: janstewert.dweebly.com/resume.html".
  • When in text, people are more likely to click on <something.link" than other domains.
  • link is catchy and meaningful: It's much better to be a "link" (a.k.a. connection) than a "web", "online", etc. All the good .web, etc. domains are already pre-registered and likely will have high early access (landrush) fees. .web is good, but .Link is best. You can get a .link cheap today!
  • .link is broad and suitable for ANY keyword as opposed to almost all other extensions. This means that .link is far more likely to become mainstream and achieve mass appeal than the other extension choices in the long run. This is attractive to both domainers and end users.
  • If you need to use more than one domains, then the universal nature of .link is best. For example, I use green.link for my business and bio.link for my personal sites. This is less confusing for me and my visitors than mysite.green and mysite.bio being used simultaneously.
  • In the future, as links become ubiquitous in objects, you will be able to touch links everywhere! and instantly access them on your mobile device or computer. With Google Glass, you will be able to activate links by eye movements.
  • Dotless keywording: "AustraliaExploration.link" sounds better than "Australia Dot Exploration".
  • Registration and renewal fees are much less than most of the other extension choices.
  • There are no restrictions for the use of .Link.
  • .Link is short and one syllable as opposed to .online, .exploration, etc. which is critical for mobile devices and marketing.
  • Link is universal and an internationally understood word.
  • There are no other domain extensions to confuse with "link" as opposed to .onl / .online, and .web / .website / .site, etc.
  • All the letters in "link" are conveniently on the right side of the keyboard which is especially great for mobile devices.
  • Contrary to popular belief, there are no search engine advantages to keywords in the domain name, so australia.exploration will not result in better search results for "australian exploration" than just exploration.link.
  • The world's 10th most popular website is LinkedIn. Link TV's slogan is "Connecting You to the World".
  • In summary, there are many advantages of exploration.link over www.australia.exploration or australiaexplorationonline.com for example because that's how those look side by side when properly marketed.

It did seem a little salesey. Do you have a more cogent explanation for why I would want a .link domain?

:bingo:

Uniregistry does have some gTLD's that actually seems to be meaningful, .link is not one of them...

Considering they registry reserved almost every dictionary word in .link, they seem to have faith in reselling them later for a lot.
