Hey,
I've noticed a few threads where people are looking to buy llll.com's especially WITH a e i o u v. Is it a new trend? Or they buy it hoping that the average price of llll.com will grow?
Your thoughts?
Domainers, especially those new to this game, really need to stop classifying LLLL.coms with a, e, i, o etc. non-premium! Since before the "chip" hype, premium letters were universally considered A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S and T. Without exceptions.
The currently sought after "chip" LLLL.coms with Q, X, Z, Y and similar letters (previously considered as crap) are selling really good nowadays, there's no doubt about that fact, but the rest of the world (outside China) rarely use those letters. I've kept LLLL.coms as my main investing strategy for almost 10 years now and I've learnt that easily pronounceable LLLL.coms (e.g. Tapp.com, Sosa.com, Kipp.com etc.) and LLLL.coms with Western premium letters (e.g. BCAP.com, PTTS.com, LPOA.com etc.) are always sought after, among end-users and domainers alike. After all, the value of a domain name is determined by its chance of ending up with an actual end-user. That is a fact that can't be argued.
There is no doubt that we need to include China in this market and keep stocking up on "their" letters, but there's a whole world outside China and they are still buying the type of names mentioned above. So please, let's not start calling letters like A, E, I and O non-premium.
