LOL. Did you checked all this websites? Almost ALL of them is listed for sell, even for less amount they were purchased..but i will not wonder if they all were purchased by registrar itself from themselves to promote it.

Check DNJournal and Namebio, they are all confirmed sales. Do you really care who purchased them from you? I certainly wouldn't...a lot are purchased by large domain investors who are now reselling them.

A lot are owned by commercial companies as well if you check the WHOIS, they might not be all developed by so what, it wouldnt bother me at all, a sale is a sale

Then you also have google buying G.co, Amazon buying A.co and Twitter buying no_url_shorteners (for a lot of $$ Im sure)
