    Hello Members

I have been visiting namepros since few months. Found this forum an awesome source of knowledge in this field. Thanks to all who care to share all the data and knowledge! Today decided to create an account as I think I'm ready to invest now. I'm keeping aside around $30k from my savings to start with.

Personally, I prefer quality over quantity. So I planned to focus on 3Ls & 4Ls only. Obviously 2Ls are out of my leauge. As starting capital is only $30k, so I feel 4Ls would be best to focus on. I will not take any profit out, would invest all future sales amount in 3Ls.

When I talk about 4Ls, I meant only high end names like CVCV or CVVC, quad or some highly pronounceable names. In money terms, I would cap these from $500 to $2500. I would go slow.

open to any other advice which I should focus on.

    Thanks!

2020, and still betting on 3Ls?
Really poor direction IMHO. Apologies if rude. Thanks.

@Ponyyy If you want 3Ls you need at least 15k$ for very attractive 3L you need at least 30k$

you check with @Mytz.com he got good 4Ls

    Good luck

Wake up to the reality. I don't think you should invest like a fool.

Thanks for the info! Yes, I observed this range for 3Ls here that's why focusing on 4Ls with this budget. As only having 1 or 2 3Ls will be a long patience game. So it would be better to get quality 4Ls. T

    Thanks again!

I am asking you not to invest in 3L, now you want to with 4L. I rest my case. My argument stands clarified.

To big a risk with LLL.com names when you dont understand the letters, domain value, end-users, selling, outbound etc yet.

Start with 1k, buy a couple of names (not hand regged names), maybe a couple of decent LLLL.com names, then try sell them, if you do, then reinvest the cash into more names. 30k is a silly amount to invest when starting out, get the hang of it first, prove you can sell names, get some experience first.

    Good luck

I have to agree, lll's are usually the second step. But it is not truth that they are not good investment. Especially now their prices are relatively low.

Sure you can buy 1-3 LLLs for 30k or maybe a few dozen LLLLs, but then what? Money frozen, what's your plan for the next move? So called "liquid domains" are overpriced and it can take years waiting for the end user or even more years to liquidate them with any profit. It's a better plan that most "newbie plans" but still not that great IMO.

You joined NP just TODAY, and you are taking about 30,000 investment like a cupcake. Lets see your first buy. Looking forward to seeing your "LoL" 30k buyout. It begs the quesiton -- Why all this FICTION? If you don't have money, just say. I really want to know who's swimming here, NAKED.

The secret is to know how the market works. You could give yourself a little ''learning period'' sacrificing a very small part of your budget with cheaper domains. See how all the system works, then go to cvcv's. At start i would buy 2-3 and wait (1-2 years) to see the results. If you have success double the number of cvcv's. After some sales and using the sales money, go to the next level and start investing on lll's. This road is much more safer and you will know what you are doing.
    GIVE TIME TO YOURSELF.
    GIVE TIME TO YOUR NAMES.

why you are so mean ? she just asked for help so if you are not happy with the question do not answer, we all here don't know who are behind the screens, having joined today NP today or having less comments doesn't means anything, people have multiple account, others are big investors and want to have some privacy, so if you want to help welcome, if not do not comment.

True! what my thinking was that I would need some numbers of domain to get something out of it. Like lets say If I have 2-3 LLLL Only then possibly would need to do outbound to get a sale in shorter period of time. Thanks for putting your wise words and guiding me. Would consider this perspective also.

To be honest, plan is to just acquire limited quality names and maintain a portfolio, and grow as and when sales happen. I can wait but I think need to focus on acquisition startegy to achieve something like this.

Yeah, I never said LLL.com's are not a go investment, they are just not a good investment for anyone new to the game, this is when poeple who have 30k to play with go and buy QXZ.com for $25k because the want to own an LLL.com and its just not worth it.

Welcome to NP, You joined the day after him O_o and all you seem to do is insult people, maybe just take a little time and study the industry and maybe you will learn something. No use coming on here all guns blazing, we see this all the time and they usually end up leaving after a few weeks/months. A little politeness and professionalism goes a long way.

I would learn a lot first, better don't buy anything until you can really explain what you're buying and why you're buying in detail (who are the end-users, are there enough of them, is it hard to replace the name with another one, etc). We are all super-optimistic at the beginning, until all money spent on bad names (without realising they are bad) and there is nothing else we can do after that. Talking from experience :) so yeah, learn first.

STOP lower your budget now blow that first. Blow 1k try resell them there are more skills to acquire. With experience i would say buy portfolios pick out gems but i am going to say learn the hard way just don't do that with entire budget learning.

Every 4L you will trade in will be from a domainer to a domainer if not your end user. As it changes hands $100 - $200 - $300 the value isn't going up just the cost of investment into it. If it cannot be abbreviated find a final price a final end user your just further in it than the last domainer. I think offloading.
