Regged a .tv today with godaddy but it is not resolving to a parked page, is that normal for a .tv? Maybe godaddy is just lagging but usually new regs show up as a parked page withing minutes.

So welcome to the .tv as I understand this is your first .tv reg !
Yes it may takes hours for the name to show up, not specifically related to the .tv extension.

Thanks for the info, although I have to confess this is my second .tv reg. I registered perview.tv months ago thinking that would be better than payperview cuz its short but apparently I was the only one to think that was a good idea :hehe:

Now that I think about it my second .tv reg is along those same lines as it is a shorter way to say something although it has another meaning on its own, so hopefully that will make it worth more than reg fee.

yes, thanks for calling NP dns resolution support line. Although this is a question for your registrar, I am happy to be able to help you today.

DNS propogation takes up to 48 hrs to resolve across all the servers of the internet. Should you wish to see if your domain is resolving before perhaps it has reached you then you may visit dnsstuff.com and check your dns settings.

Godaddy are historically slow resolving dns and yet it always seems immediate when it comes to showing their own parking page.

Is there anything else I can help you with today...??/

Thanks for calling NP support...

:p

Haha, thanks Bager. Maybe I should have been more clear. It hasn't resolved to the Godaddy parked page yet. I never to sure that I have a domain name until I see that parked godaddy page, then I know it's mine!!! :hehe:

Maybe it's just my paranoia after registering a bucketfull of sweet .eu names during the first day of landrush only to find Godaddy did not get a single one. Any of them would easily be worth high xxx or more, man was that painful experience. I think .mobi did a much better job of rolling out the extension. Sorry for posting about .mobi in the .tv thread :hehe: Please, no replies regarding .mobi, wouldn't want this thread to get moved :)
