Hello everyone!

I am new to selling domain names and thought a good start would be to signup and start reading some articles. From what I have read, domain name value really depends on the buyer; as like art, it's subjective. I have a single domain which I bought for personal use but I thought I would try and sell it instead.

The domain is: echo (not this) your (not this) idea (not this) .com

From your experience, how much do you think this domain would be? Obviously without the (not this) bits.

Thank you for your help!

Welcome to Namepros!

Don't shoot the messenger: IMO, you will not find any takers for the domain you've mentioned beyond reg fee. Heck, you asked! :xf.wink:

Yes and no. It's true that a domain will sell what someone is willing to pay but there are starting metrics you should be going by.

Don't go crazy buying domains until you find out what these metrics are. We've all been there and wasted loads of money in the beginning making mistakes.

The best place to start is at iGoldrush: http://www.igoldrush.com/

Next, DNJournal: http://www.dnjournal.com/

Use tools at your disposal:

Gather as much information about the domain and keywords within the domain as much as possible. Soon, this will all be more intuitive.

And don't take Estibot evaluations seriously or any other "automated domain valuation".

Good luck.
