New gTLDs - It's not if, it's when

A number of domain owners have come to the misconception that I don’t believe in the new gTLDs. This couldn’t be further from the truth! What I’m wrestling with is the when not the if the new gTLDs take-off.

Here is the reason why he thinks new gTLDs will take off.

We all know .com is the best choice for end users on condithon that they can afford the .com.
But now the price of .com is too high and middle and small sized enterprises can't afford that.
So why not choose a low cost, short and memorable gTLDs?
After all, the quantity of middle and small sized enterprises are much more than big companies.

The current buying frenzy on NamePros is not focused on dot coms. Clearly many of the players expect to profit from other extensions. Even dot biz seems to be getting some attention. The characteristics which make names attractive have changed.

I have no idea if any of this represents a permanent change or if "normal" will return. However, it certainly shows how fast the "rules" can change.

The search trend for any brand can be revolutionized due to the potential of gTLDs if selected appropriately. It is very valuable to purchase a domain that is related to the brand. To register a new gTLDs is an opportunity for brands, marketers, services, websites, large enterprises and SEO professional.

the problem is the stocks of other domains people are collecting since 1995, you can get addicted lol because of that difficult to argue with these guys, they will start believing after the end of the stock or after price normalization, there is no other way, so other domainers and especially SEO specialists and namers are needed that will definitely make things clear.

ok , another comparison, from historical point of view, it's like you own shops in Elyseum fields in Paris ( as a respected French domainer said ) ...

but we can say that there are other places in Paris for business, like 'La Defence' and with built in metro station and other Skyscrapper that will be built next years and will drive businesses and customers there,

also the scyscrapper or the megashops of 'La Defence' are way bigger than 1 floor 100 metres Elyseum shops.... and traffic is good also.

the problem is people are waiting, they wait for bizzare behaviour of nnnnx domains, , then second historical tld, then 3rd, then jump to national ngtld of the country that is driving the market, then others... some will try to buy the whole zone with numbers..... it's ok, no problem but in this case you fullfill only one function of the domain 'the collectionning' , but you can't use it for commercial purposes or marketing ..
