New CCTLD Launched (not .im) ! Read! Premium Keywords available!

There's a time that comes when a cctld becomes privatized. It becomes monopolized under one company... which charges absurd fees for .com/.net....

The time has come now. The premium keywords are available. Whose awake at 12:40 CT because here we go ladies and gentleman.

Run Run to safenames and start scanning those premium keywords! The price of registration is NOT CHEAP. The renewal fee is $75 usd a year BUT to register one costs around $300 (includes first 2 years of registration).

It does have quite a delay in registration: 7 days +.

I managed to register poker.ai and it took foerever to be registered.

It seems like you cant register via the main registry site: (nic.com.ai) (ghetto form requires your CREDIT CARD number not very trustworthy )

I guess you can try?!?! However the safenames whois is more accurate then the registry's.

i cant believe i forgot about it !!!!!!!!!

i was on that page 2 weeks ago and it said registrations will open in a few days but i forgot. Damn. .ai is a nice extension IMHO. poker.ai is worth a def min of $2,500

Yeah and that’s one of the very few ccTLDs that could be branded into a marketable gambling establishment.

Very brandable AI. I wish I had the money to spend.

not from people buying domains, but from small countries opening up their TLD's to fill their treasuries. pretty soon open registration ccTLD keywords will get even more diluted.

AI is Anguilla, but I guess it could also be Artificial Intelligence.

You'd think these ccTLD people would realize that they could probably do much more volume if they dropped the prices to the same as gTLD's. I thought .im was expensive, but this is just nuts. At that price, they probably won't sell but a few hundred of the top keywords. At $8, they could probably sell tens of thousands.

What I don't understand is how some of you can call this a 'promising' ccTLD?! .AI ?!! I had to look up what it stands for FFS, and this is not like 'TV' or 'FM' where people will immediately remember it. How does anyone actually pay money for this?? I mean, Anguilla is not the best target market, and I can't see these domains getting any support in other countries.
