Network solutions is holding my name hostage

I buy domains through snapnames often and one of the downfalls is having different registers all over the place. I have one domain at network solutions (isn't NS affialited with snap?) that I have owned for about 6 months or so and have not done anythign with it. I sold it part of a bulk deal and the deal is ready to come undone as I can't transfer out one of my domains from there. Heres the story...

The buyer contacts me and says someone cancelled the transfer request. So I go into my account and notice it says "locked". I unlock it and thinking I was having a dumb moment, contact the seller and tell him it was my fault, now go ahead and request again. Same thing happens. I go into my account and its locked again. I call NS and the operator says its locked (uuhhh yeah) and she unlocks it. Needless to say for the past 5 days when I log out of my account it goes right back into "locked". I was promised a "tech" would contact me in 24-48 hours directly to help/correct the situation and nothing. I am emailing them daily to no avail. ANy suggestions? I just want to transfer a domain, not to hard and this could affect my whole bulk sale. ANy thoughts? Ideas?

thanks for listening, Gary.

I dont deal with NetSol - almost ever. I would recommend just keep on contacting them and ask to speak with a supervisor who can resolve your issue, seeing as how its taken so long, I would imagine if they had any kind of decen customer service, they would get on this.

Yes NetSol is one of Snaps partners but that should'nt make any difference, They have to let you transfer it out if you want to.

I just transfered one out of NetSol recently - All I did was turn off domain protect and click the Request Authorization Code below it - then save

They then sent me an email asking me to call them because they wanted to keep my business, the day after that they sent me the authorization code. (I did'nt phone them)

Then just initiate the transfer from the new register.

Failing that:

Maybe you could get the guy (buyer) to open an account at NetSol then push it to him ?

Good luck

I've heard some not-so-nice things, that's why I don't use them. Good luck!

Thanks, on a whim I contacted snapnames since I bougfht it from them and I can't transfer it out so its sorta their problem too. ANyways they said they would help out as well so now Im waiting for NS and snap to figure something out. I hope one gets it right.

thanks for your help, Gary.

I did everthing correctly and it shows unlocked but when I log out then back in, its locked again, very weird.

And I was trying to push it to a netsol account and it still wasnt working. So then the buyer tried transferring it to godaddy.

Based on what I've read so far, have the issue escalated. It's probably a bug
in their systems for a domain to lock up again in less than 2 weeks.

Unfortunately don't expect the issue to be resolved "immediately". Unless you
are one of their big time clients, their regular customer service issues are first
in-first out.

hhmmm

Not a big customer for them as the only way I use them is if I win a domain through snapnames.

SO this has been going on for 6 days. I keep getting emails that this has been escalated.

I keep getting the auth code so I think a tech guy is thinking I am dumb and just unlocks it and doesnt check to see it locks right back up.

I emailed snap since I purchased it through them and they said they would help 3 days ago but nothing yet.

I have been told today that a manager has escalated it after going through the SAME checklist over the phone 3 different times.

I am just glad my buyer is VERY understanding.

STAY AWAY FROM NS!
