Iv recently bought my first domains and have been sifting through the mountains of information on his site and others to give me some guidance when it comes to the sale or parking of a domain.
i've found lots of useful information but i would be interested in hearing some first hand advice from the good people of the Namepros forum.

I had bought 2 new Domain names,Neither of which would of had reason for existing traffic so my first question is:
1) to succesfully park would i be better of to develop a small site
for the domain before parking or will it be a waste of time and
money?

2)I am using alot of different sites in regard to parking and
advertising my domains but that being said i dont know who to
focus on and stick with as i dont want to be jumping between
different websites everytime i check up on my domains

3)My domains could be confined to one sector in particular (but is
vauge enough to keep an open market) what are the chances of
a mass e-mail informing companys of the sale being responded
to or would they just view it as spam and look for the domain
names themselfs?

Any responses would be greatly apreciated, advice will be even more so :cy: cheers (thank you for taking the time to read)

i'd be more interested in the names you own,

cuz if they are crap....then it really makes no diff where you put them

You can put them on sedo to test if they have traffic, then worry about who pays the most latter if they do have traffic and clicks.

Dont post the names, so their traffic stats stay natural

I list my domains for sale on Sedo, Afternic, GoDaddy. I park my domains at Voodoo, Domain Sponsor, Bodis, Parking Crew. Voodoo is a "must have", imho.

Sedo the easyest for a beginner to be accepted and see if their names have traffic and clicks. Looks like you have a bodis.com account, just keep all them there in one spot.

He probably doesn't even have the required 10 domains to get an VooDoo account

Build a little bit of something, before doing the parking company switcheroo

You will probably have to find your first sale yourself (see finding endusers thread) tough to wait out the years it could take to sell a new name passively went just starting.

Goodluck

My advice would be to create some content and then websites try to get traffic and hopefully you can get some ads on your site using adsense or infolinks.

there is really no reason to park a domain if there is no type in traffic or any existing backlinks that will give you traffic.

thanks for all the great advice i think i might create a website and try to generate some traffic over the next few months and give parking another go.I really appreciate the feed back as well i so thanks again.

In response to Biggies question the two domains i own are
Hostelholiday.com
&
Buildingireland.com
Both of which (in my limited knowledge) im pretty confident will create some form of traffic
