My site ain't on Google?

hello,

Ive had my site up for almost a year now, I have had many sites in the past and they have all got on google within a month or so.

My site is http://www.makeaquiz.net.

I have tried every means possible to try and get it on, but google just wont index it, and I dont know why.

• I have made it so the domain of my site is registered for more than 2 years
• I have full meta tags and google bot tags
• I dont have any adult material on my site
• My site gets quite alot of hits
• The domain name does not contain any foul language
• My site does not offer any illigal services
• I have submitted my site on their actual website and using submission services
• I have contacted them about it, but with no reply

I dont have a clue what it can be that is stopping my site from failing to be indexed on google. It is on every other search engine other then google.

Anyone got anytips on how I can get my site listed once and for all!

I think that it is not normal. Please do the following checks:
- if you the robot.tex file ==> check if the file is correct
- Change your host! maybe your site hosted in a spam server
- use dedicated IP (be sure it is not a band IP)

I have other domains and sites hosted with the same host that are listed on google.

If anything else fails, luckely I have some better domain names that I can list and try again.

Hi, this has also happened to one of my sites - from no 1 in google to - off ?
Somebody here recommended the following to me - set your revisit to 20 or 30 days, yours is set to 2, hope it helps

was the domain registered before? it is possible that is has been banned from google when someone else had it (you could try doing a search on the wayback machine site and see if it exists in their system, if it does have a look back and see if anything may have infringed googles terms)

You could try submitting a sitemap at https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/login but if your site is banned (which it looks like it is) then the chances are that will not work.

JKust had a look on the wayback machine and it shows it existed in August 2003 but it does not have any indexed pages of it.

That is a distinct possibility. Google consider this as spam. If 1 of their researchers found this or if your site has been reported they will have penalised you heavily for this.

Thanks for the reply, I have submitted my site on Sitemaps. it says Status Pending, so possibly they will properly verify it on the search engine aswell. As you say, they probably wont accept it on Sitemaps if it isnt allowed on their actual search engine.

Ha, that sounds like adsense cheaters asking why their account is banned, you must know about the hidden text on your homepage, if someone submitted a spam report against your site then it would clearly be in breach of google's site guidelines, remove the spammy text, clean up your site, then email google for a re-inclusion request.

Remember to apologise and accept that you have been a naughty webmaster, do not be tempted to plead ignorance, if you accept the punishment and apologise you are much more likely to get back in the index.

Even if you don't cheat, Google can take some time to pick up a domain once in awhile, even with inbound links. I had a site that took about a month to get listed in Google. It finally has now. Strange as I've had other sites that got picked up right away. Guess it just depends. But yeah, cheating can get you banned...Not worth it to try to fool the spiders.

try adding adult content, my site gets crushed on a daily basis thanks to google they send way too much traffic and i have never submitted the site to them... go figure

I want to get it listed on google, milk for traffic and then try and sell. It already gets 1000 hits a day which I suppos is alright, but more would make more revenue, and I see that Finally getting listed on google search is the next step forward for my site.

Your site has probably been "sandboxed" our hosting company didnt get listed for almost 8 months and then came up PR4. it was a directory script that we used, Google didnt like it. Check your settings and scripts.

Thankyou to all of the people that have given such helpful tips on how I can fix this problem i am having with google and my site. I will, when I get the chance, take the time to edit my site using your great help and hopefully get it listed on google after all!

I am looking for constructive posts! The one mentioned directly above is inappropriate and isnt helpful to the cause. If you wish to give Smart aleck remarks on people's posts, I suggest you go to a different forum all together. There are so many wunderful and knowledgeable people here, its a shame to have people that spam the forums with disrespectful and intellectually insulting comments. :yell:
