hi i have a swingers web site hullswingers.com if i type this in google my site there to see, yet if i type hull swingers my site not there why is that and my site name address is cottallsorts.karoo.net so how does it find the hullswingers in google .so if google finds hullswingers and i dont have the domain name hullswingers why do people bother geting names to match who they are or what they sell if google just finds the name in the first page like it has with mine.........if you understand what am trying to say well done :] any help please......mike

my web site is names hullswingers if you type this in google my web site pops up as hullswingers yet the domain name is cottallsorts.karoo.net ...so if google does this why bother getin good domain names if you word your home page with the name you want it comes in.

its not only google but its brand,
its easier to remember hullswingers.com if i want to ge to hullswingers, than to remember cottallsorts.karoo.net

you could use an subdomain as your site if your purpose is to post some contents to
the internet. But if you want tell someone your names, then it is hard to spell the
subdomain etc, an subdomain is like an apartment in a big building; sometimes you
want to buy an single house to live in.

thanks for you help but i think becouse of google the domain name dont matter as much as what you have on your home page.who types on the addressbar only domainers

its not only typing but remembering a domain, making ur visitros to come back easily and spread the word more easily

If I search hullswingers in Yahoo you are listed 2nd, there are only 16 matching results for this term, not much competition thus your listed on the first page.

If you search hull swingers in Yahoo you are searching for sites which use both words thus the results are much greater (240k) and you will need to work on seo to get your site listed higher.

To me saying your site/company is HullSwingers.com yet you dont own the domain HullSwingers.com doesnt make much sense.
