Every now and then, you see members posting their milestones. ie amount of posts/likes, VIP badges, first sale, etc... Well here is the story of my 3800th like.
I'm sure many of you here have at one point or another said something similar to, "I do it for the likes."
At least I do. I enjoy reaching new hundredths, or thousandths. Some of you may like certain likes more than others. A reg/snap of the day like reaffirms your purchase, a like on a post you spent a lot of time into acts as a tip to the OP for their efforts, or my personal favorite the like on somebody else's post who just stood up for you. Then every now and then, perspective hits, and a like comes around that just makes sense.
Right when I logged in, I noticed I was four likes away from 3800. So when the following four likes came in, I was consciously aware of what was happening in real time -- I was nearing and reached 3800.
As you can see it was by mod @Amanda . To me this is meaningful because we have a colorful history, and yet, it really pains me to hear what her and her family are going through. I mean I did not make it easy on her when she first joined, jumping in head first at an authoritative role, and dealing with a hot head like myself is not easy. In the tiny print, you can see me opening up to them publicly, which I did because I wanted them to feel the love behind my support.

@Amanda - Godspeed to you and your family as you embark on this new journey. Even though you may have lost physical items, I think you can see you have a lot more than that in support from the entire online community. Perspective changes everything, and everything happens for a reason.
