Which TLD do you prefer? I know tons of .mobi are being swipted up, but Id rather wait and get myself a .tel domain. First of .tel is short, and second off it will be good for any new bussiness. I personally wish that it came out before .mobi. Also I think that .tel will become the standard for phones. What do you guys think.

Thanks

.tel sounding bad is not really a great arugment not to have an extension. We'll see how it all pans out. I am fully in support of .MOBI but I'm going to try registerting some premium names for .tel. Premium names in any extension are gold. Except for low 102323level domains for the residents of colonies of 100 or less people that only have 1 computer and 2 cellphones in their village.

Last month I brought this up. Here is the thread, it has alot of information about .tel,

http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/269943-whats-the-deal-with-tel.html

there really is no overlap in use. Now that Phones are basically digital they realized numbers are not necessary anymore, dont you remember analog turning phones, you would put your finger in the number hole and turn the phone wheel, then you would hear tick tick tick tick tick for each number. Well thats how phones used to work. 4 had 4 clicks, 5 had 5 click and so on. Thats how it would know what number to connect to. All that is now irrelevant. In fact numbers on phones are no longer needed. It is part of an aging infrastucture. You can digitally imbed any information you need to properly connect. So, what most of you dont realize, it is the end of an era, which has been phased out over the last ten years. Phone numbers are obsolete now. .Tel will usher in a new era in communications. No longer will you remember numbers, the next generations will have you call mike.tel You have to come to the realization that wimax and wireless technology will cause the widespread availability of Wireless Voip. .Tel is meant to be integrated with Voip. I think .Tel is the begining of a new communications era, and the end of analog.
