Last month I brought this up. Here is the thread, it has alot of information about .tel,

there really is no overlap in use. Now that Phones are basically digital they realized numbers are not necessary anymore, dont you remember analog turning phones, you would put your finger in the number hole and turn the phone wheel, then you would hear tick tick tick tick tick for each number. Well thats how phones used to work. 4 had 4 clicks, 5 had 5 click and so on. Thats how it would know what number to connect to. All that is now irrelevant. In fact numbers on phones are no longer needed. It is part of an aging infrastucture. You can digitally imbed any information you need to properly connect. So, what most of you dont realize, it is the end of an era, which has been phased out over the last ten years. Phone numbers are obsolete now. .Tel will usher in a new era in communications. No longer will you remember numbers, the next generations will have you call mike.tel You have to come to the realization that wimax and wireless technology will cause the widespread availability of Wireless Voip. .Tel is meant to be integrated with Voip. I think .Tel is the begining of a new communications era, and the end of analog.
