Michael Moore: OK To Download Sicko

Michael Moore's upcoming documentary "Sicko" will hit theaters on June 29th, but the film has already hit the internet and is available for download. Of course this is not legal, and I'm sure the people at The Weinstein Company are doing their best to stop the spread of the film, which is in amazing quality.

There are many ways to get a copy of a "yet to be released" movie, which does not require sneaking a camera into the theater, and the makers of "Hostel: Part II" learned this the hard way, when their film hit not only the internet, but also the streets.

So, what does Michael Moore think about all this? Apparently, he doesn't mind. "I don't agree with the copyright laws and I don't have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people," said Moore when asked about pirating. "I make these books and movies and TV shows because I want things to change, so the more people that get to see them the better, so I'm happy when that happens. I think information and art, ideas should be shared."

All, I can say is: way to go, Mike! Nice to see people standing up for what they believe in and putting their money where their mouth is..

ROFL - Yeah Ok............... All the oil and money he complained about. Drove him around to help him make all his movies................

I am surprised with so many actors who turned politicians, or those who are big time activists, are not helping out in his causes.

He did the same thing with Fahrenheit 9/11 - and good for him. The movie is not even out yet and it's driving the Conservative base crazy. Odd considering many who would call themselves conservative are also without proper health care, or no health care at all.

Moore built his stock on being different whilst being confrontational, it's worked up to now and this new flick is no different.

Maybe next he'll try to find Waldo.

Driving the conservative base crazy? Where do you get your information from?

Huh? Look at the responses here and elsewhere for crying out loud! They hate the guy almost as much as Bill Clinton. Turn on Fox News - they had a screed about him a day or two ago. msnbc also aired a drive-by smearing of the guy this week.

It's pretty common knowledge he is hated by a certain segment of the American population.

I've heard really good things about this movie. I thought Bowling for Columbine was excellent. I look forward to seeing Sicko.

Ha he said that because it makes him look good and DOESN'T MATTER. He will not be enforcing the exisiting laws with the pirating of his movie. If the department in charge of enforcing the pirating of this movie said that then I would say wow that's something.

Americans don't like him but people outside of America do.. I know a lot of Canadians love his movies.. Aswell as a lot of Europeans. So he knows his market defiantly isn't in US..

:hehe:

Sorry, but the news stations are not conservative America. The only major conservative I've heard say anything about Moore is Fred Thompson and he's trying to kick-start a campaign.

I'd have to say that living in what I'd call conservative America, most people don't care about Moore. He can make a fortune off of all the suckers he wants.
