I consider developing some of my .TVs and I came accross Metacafe affiliate program. I think it might even be the best easy & quick way to monetize my .TVs. However, the affiliate program seems to be new and not even fully launched.

Anyone has any experience with them? How much do they pay and how it works? What do I get paid for?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Revver pays 20% to the affiliate and 50% to the creator. No experience with metacafe yet. Do you have a link for them?

You mean an affiliate link? No, I haven't signed up yet, but I'm talking about their "best video" video player that you will embed on your site (link: http://www.metacafe.com/affiliates/).

I haven't heard of Revver. What can I get paid for if I embed their video on my site? There must be a sale if it is an affiliate, or is it a PPC?

It's not really a paid affiliate of any kind:

* Keep your visitors engaged - By placing Metacafe's unique player on your site, you keep your visitors on your site longer, providing your users both with the information they want and the entertainment they crave, and giving them a great reason to come back.
* Bandwidth is on us. Storage is on us. Finding the videos is on us.
* Videos that fit your site - You can customize your player to suit your specific needs - if you run a pet site, you can have animal videos featured on your site. Just place our player by using the code on the bottom of this page, and we'll do the rest.
* Make Money - You can place any ads you would like around the video player - you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

=====================================================

They pay you nothing, you get to show their videos. Calling this an affiliate is about as equal as if you pulled someones RSS feed and they called you an affiliate.

OK, thanks for explaining. I wouldn't call this an affiliate, as they don't pay you anything and you must place your own ads to generate revenue.

They call it affiliate but no revenue involve, they just provide you some videos for your website. I used them for our project at www.dcweb.com check it out.

Thanks, so I will use them anyway and will try to get something from Adsense.

BTW, your site shows a little messed in Firefox.

You haven't heard of REVVER? THey are one of the best video sharing platforms that rewarded the creator and the affiliate.

You should look into it.

No, I only knew Youtube and Metacafe. However, Revver looks good, they even pay for views! (I'm reading their FAQ.)
