.tv Renewing .tv at GoDaddy

Hi guys and gals.

I have a couple of .tvs up for renewal soon, and was wondering about the renewal costs of them at godaddy.

At the moment, they have a special on regging .tv at about $25. However, when I go to renew the ones in my account, they are showing up at $34.99 each.

In the post about about Godaddy codes, someone has said that they were able to renew their .tvs much cheaper without using any codes.

Has anyone got an idea how to do this ?? It seems a bit steep charging $35 for renewal, and $25 for regging a new domain.

I tried haggling with godaddy about this and they will not do anything and there are no coupons for .tv renewal for godaddy. You may want to consider transfering to Moniker at sometime to avoid the high renewal. That is my plan.

Thanks for the reply SKG - I got about 3 weeks or so until renewal time, so I might have to look into transfering them any day now.

Hi Alex, I found the same thing and tried all codes I could find here at NamePros and none worked. In the end I just decided to go along with the $34.99 :td:

IMO better transfer it today or just renew at Godaddy, despite the few extra bucks, I always find it risky to transfer a name with only little time left, you never know what can go wrong.

I know exactly what you mean when transfering something at the last minute.
I will have to check the expiration dates carefully before working out where to renew them.

I started transfering all mine out of GD to Moniker as they came due. The last one got rejected for some reason, so I ended up with the $34.99 price tag. Guess they're having an exodus of TV names...
