just a note to you all to stay away..far far away from LowestHosting.com. By far they have been rude, not helpful and backed out of their contract with me as well as the terms and conditions halfway through the term.

In addition to this, their customer service lacks by being uneducated and rude and far less than willing to be of any assistance whatsoever.

If you have any questions about them or another opinion I would like to know..because to me, these asshats have been nothing but a nightmare of a company to do business with.

His customer service is so good that everyday he annoys me on MSN Msgr lol. (jk sabre )

How did they back out of their contract? It's one thing if their T&C say they can terminate your account at any time, but if you actually went into a contract with this guy and he terminated it, then maybe you should scare a little sense into him and get some lawyers involved. It's probably not NEEDED or worth all the effort, but it would teach them a lesson

well...

the "contract" was the TOS. at the time I signed up, it was unlimited b/w (i know now that it doesnt exist..but back then...." etc if you pay for the year up front ($60/year.. petty cash basically which is why court would be futile).

anyways, after I began hitting over a terabyte/month... they changed the TOS to include the message saying they would not allow unlimited anymore then throttled my website to a per second b/w throttle. ultimately i was limited to approx 10gb's per month after got them to raise it from 100mb's.

all this is AFTER i had paid to increase my storage up to 1.5 gigs. they still refused to at least give me comperable b/w for the storage space. Hence my animosity towards them now :P

LowestHosting.com is the biggest POS company you'll never do business with (for your sake, I hope)

wow... I'm not really surprised that they ended up throttling you if you were eating that much b/w.

However, hosts also need to realise that they should not promote "unlimited" unless they're willing to actually provide it (which is impossible.... so the bottom line is that they should never use the word in the first place :p)

:hehe: I must be getting old... I kind of liked their website. Although it was a little too long, it was simple, fast and functional. But, I would have still considered it a little too much for my own use (I like them short, simple and functional).

You really can't judge a host by their website... I can only imagine what some people might say about mine. :hehe:

Lowesthosting.com is obviously overselling the bandwidth at those prices.

1 TB per month really requires a dedicated server... if your still using that kind of BW, surely you've discovered that yourself.
