First, I'd like to preface this thread by starting out saying most phones today with internet are low end internet phones; most have no internet yet at all, of course..
The twist is, much of the people in power pumping out these advanced PDA's with new contracts are contacts within the Dot Mobi business consortium gang. Their products' scope is where they can derive much of their increased profits and power as compared to the MTLD registrations.. But, they should increase correspondance because of new timing issues stemming, in part, from the following concept:
-------
Looking to MSN - Implications of the MSN.com PDA experience
Look at the future..
..by looking at the advanced PDA.
Look at MSN.com on the advanced PDA..
Look at MSN.com on the low end phones..
Look at MSN.com on the computer..
Another possibile future scenario is that for perceived "Oneness", without a split internet or double domain issue, the way current sites are designed could evolve themselves.. if the Dot Mobi gang pumps out these advanced PDAs for new contracts faster, in the mid term future we may see a higher evolution of how websites are designed entirely like in the following:
Look at the MSN.com site on your PDA, it has long vertical scrollbars and NO horizontal scrollbars - Mobile/PC site design of the future?)
There is alot of information in the long vertical scroll on the PDA (everything now "to the left").. yet seems to fit "in the mind"..
Could a change in the way the existing ".com" information ecosystem is presented via evolved pc site design solve the current problem of preservation of .com full information for "on the go" access by advanced, future, PDA?
The thought of the MSN.com current PDA site design may act as a catalyst for the Dot Mobi gang to try to explode with their all soon enough..
(Remember, they already have to try to rev up the corporate/techie world before those reserved names are distributed to companies applying to use them)
Again, what becomes popular in the global mainstream seems to be where the race is at the moment.
What time is it now for Dot Mobi?
Kind Regards,
Yelo
