The main and the BIGGEST question is: WHO will buy another "bad" non-premium and the biggest part of LLLL.net? And WHEN it will be in 2009 or even 2010.... - I want to see the faces of people who bought XXX domains these days and will have to prolong them for year or two without any guarantee to get the profit...
Currently non-premium LLLL.coms are 50-60$. That means than non-premium LLLL.net are worth nothing today even if bought out. So what's the reason to buy all non-premium LLLL.nets.
Premium LLLL.coms are totally different category with current minimum price around 350$. Triple premiums + V,W,U,J,K are 3-4 times cheaper! There is an abyss between them. So even buy out of premium LLLL.net domains is a quite noticable event that may push reseller market for them.
Another point that there were 83521 LLLL.net domains in total. Before count down began only 17000 LLLL.nets were available. Now question. Who bought those 66k domains before countdown started. If it were end users then end user market for LLLL.net does exist and there is no much risk in holding 1000 premium dot nets, because it's quite possible that end-user sales + small parking profits will cover expenses. In order to cover 100 LLLL.net holding you need only 1 sale in 500$ region. I think it is possible taking into consideration very hight quality of LLLL.net domains. To cover expenses you may also take following steps:
- own and optimized SEO friendly parking
- contacts with possible end-users (LLLL.com, LLLL.org, LLLL.info holders)
in 2 years there will not be a problem to sell LLLL.net to reseller. But IMHO first 1-6 months after premium LLLL.net will be tough. As we see from LLLL.net sales report thread end-user sales of LLLL.net do exist. It would be interesting find LLL.net buyout and aftermarket threads to understand what happened there. Did people believe in them also or didn't believe as now people not believing in LLLL.nets
IMHO in future proportion between LLLL.coms and LLLL.nets will be not 10% but just 5%. I think there are many factors why it may decrease. But even then 5% of possible future minimum 1000$ price for premium LLLL.com will be 50$ for example in 2 years. Is it impossible? Domainers are holding to their XJZ.mobi crap and resell it to each other. Do you think imaginary XJZ.mobi is better than premium GMLA.net
However I understand why many domainers don't like new buyouts. New buyouts and new reseller markets retract investments from existing markets. For example LLLL.com market heavily shocked LLL.info, LLL.biz and LLL.net markets even that prices went down for them slightly.
