Im buying up a few LLL.co domains. I suspect 10 years from now the value will be significantly higher as most tlds are saturated. Anyone else taking a punt?

Flawed thinking imo. Same was said when .biz and others were launched. I don't need to lecture you on the current value of LLL.us/.biz/.info etc.

The only thing that is more or less granted in .co is the local market. It's not a credible extension for global use.

Rather than gamble on what 'could' happen in the next ten years I would focus on making money today, with what works today. But it's just me.

I guess there may be value in typo traffic for the .com address if parking these.

I also stick to .com primarily but a small portfolio of .CO cant hurt :)

I had a few LLL.co's, but got burned on them. Now the only .co's I have (all 3 of them) are spanish phrases with very high exact search volume (500,000+) that will focus on the local colombia market.

Except the one in my signature... that was just a fun one for my nephew... LOL

I haven't seen domainers reporting noticeable typo traffic to their .co domains so far.

Agreed. The most traffic I received out of an LLL.co name was about 30-40 type-ins in a month.

Made a whole $0.66 from parking.

The .com does not lose traffic to the .co but it's the reverse where the .co (assuming it a website and gets traffic) ends up going to the .com

i.e. I have a dot-co (only own 3 of them in total) where the dot-com is a very high traffic site near the top of Alexa but my exact match dot-co had exactly 1 visitor in the past week!

The negativity should actually get even worse as .co gets lost in a virtual sea of 1,900 new extensions no doubt making dot-co very obscure.

P.S. It was amazing how Michael Mann somehow managed to get all his 5 figure .co sales not too long ago. Anyone know how he did it?

There was a guy on here that owned 700-800 of them but he disappear from the forum

There may be value selling LLL.co as abbreviations for Columbia companies with three keyword names in the future.

The value is always in the eyes of the buyer. There was a sale of some +/-60 LLL .biz here on NP and even pronounceable ones were less than 50bucks. No one seemed to care.

On today's DNournal Sales list there is one LLL .biz: yca.biz $1,900 if this one was on sale for 20 bucks here on NP, no one would actually buy it.

There are even more LLL .ccTLD sales on today's DNJ list which would be considered as junk by most domainers:
van.so $1,524
avg.gr $1,245

again, these wouldn't have sold for 20 bucks here, but as I mentioned before, the value is primarily generated by the buyer.

Most of the registrars promote .CO over any other TLD (Except .COM for sure). However price after 10 years will depend on how many .CO domains are developed. If most are parked, Price will be lower as the supply is high

If .CO becomes the 4th or 5th highest developed TLD, It will have a great value.
