Linking site to domain?

Hi, I was wondering if you guys could help me?

I want to buy a domain for someone, but link their web pages up to it before I tell them. There website is currently hosted on their works hosting with a very long address. Would it be possible to do without knowing the nameservers??

I though that I could host a frame that contains the website? Any better options?

Mutasim, I'd be happy to give you some advice, but I'm not clear on what you are asking. Are you looking to duplicate their site to the new domain? Place a link on the old domain to the new one?

Is the new domain going to be their future home?

I would hope that it would be updated as and when the author updates their site.

I'm still not clear on your intentions. Are you redesigning their site, or creating a design you hope to sell to them?

Maybe I'm dense today, but I can't figure out what it is you are attempting to do.

How would you not know their nameservers? It's public information. Of course, knowing them and having access to do anything with them are two very different things..

if you know the domain, just run whois.sc on it, some sites doesn't want frames calling their site.
