Let's talk about how you earn money from domain market today, and futere.

Amount of gTLDs, Parking dead, Web3 domain, APP is more convenient, etc...
How to following the fashion of domain?

How you earn money today? By listing and waiting buyer? Or develop domain? Or flip fast?

And how about future? Will gTLD better than .com one day? Will web2 domain disappear? Share your opinion of future!

The business model that has stood the test of time is -

Buy decent to great domains.

List them on popular venues.

Price them right.

Time.

There is really no shortcut to time in my view.

Though it seems a small minority have found success through less conventional approaches, this remains the most common and recommended route, as you mentioned.

Its like it is with any other other market based industry / investment. Its not like an escalator where you get in at any point and get off at any point higher. You need to strategically purchase domains at a costs lower then you will sell in the future...

Just becuase you keep seeing people buying 7 number domains for +100 dollars -> does not mean these domains are worth 100 dollars. If you now go out and buy 10 7n.coms for 80 dollars expect to lose $8000.

If you cant right away see the value of a domain name -> and get excited about it then you shouldnt even think about buying it...

If you see a ton of hype in AI domains -> its not just becuase people are buying names left and right in ai -> sure maybe you can sell a bunch of 3 word names with the prefix ai but theyre not actually AI niche domains, becuase theyre not anything a company is going to purchase...

aiLab.com DeepLab.com is one thing but learningAiChatting.com is another ->

Basically if one person spends 20 hours a day hand registering junk and letting half of them expire it might give them a little profit but nothing more then spinning the wheels.

Or the next guy might spend 1 hour a week looking at after market domain auctions. He might only find 1or 2 domains a year. buy it for 2 thousand dollars. and sit on it for sale for 10 thousand. Were talking hes sending out emails to prospective buyers, hes calling people. hes calling people who own domains trying to buy them etc...

Many investors still profit by timing niche demand shifts rather than chasing every new trend.
