What, if any, are the general values of a L-L-L dot com domains?

w-i-i.com is a bad investment. if w-i-i has nothing to do with nintendo, then it's an ordinary l-l-l.com and it's price is 15-60$. I think even closer to 15$ taking into consideration that some people are crashing the market at the moment with hundreds of l-l-l.coms because they don't even want to renew thm. The same is b-m-w.com if it's not about BMW cars then it's value is 15$!

BTW. Those crying "what a steal", "bargain" etc.... I have never saw you in auctions because you don't even try to participate in these steals, bargains auctions. Why? May be because you don't plan to invest in this niche? May be because these are not such steals and bargains. These are real current prices?

You are not wrong. But I would definitely pay $50 for either b-m-w or w-i-i. they are nice letters.

And the fact that many people are liquidating is a good thing for me as I will try to hold them for 2+ years at least.

And B-M-W can stand for what it really stands in many poorer countries (Break My Windows) .

And as for w-i-i. Nintendo I think is well known for not enforcing its trademark so the risk factor with that one is pretty low IMO. Still a bit overpriced, there are better deals available.

Seems to me that in the rush to get the best deals on these domains and then tout your hunting/negotiating skills... we've managed to drive the average price of these domains DOWN.

In a way, pretty anti-productive. In the long run though, still a great investment. But I do think the time line has been affected somewhat.

Definitely you are right.

People look many times for minimum values. If many deals are reported, the perceived minimum value of the domain decreases. It is all about perception after all.

Still a good bet, as end users do not count for minimal values etc. They either need that domain or not.

Do we have really many end-users for them? I have pretty number of L-L-L.coms but I haven't received any offers for them even in $xx range....

And many people do need funds fast that's why there are always bargains out there..

That's why I think it's more important to watch what the drop auctions are doing rather than the forum sales. They have nothing to do with sellers needing cash, and everything to do with how much the buyers want the names. It's a much more accurate gauge of where values are going, I believe.

Does it always have to be about an end user making an offer? How about seeking them out yourself? Also these names were looked at as investments for the long term, at least 1-3 years. If you were looking for something faster, maybe you should looked into other niches.
