well ..... if someone paid the premium because of the Nintendo angle, then they're on thin ice. While that is likely to be the case here (unfortunately), it is also possible that there is some company with initials WI, Inc. who will make good use of the site with nothing at all to do with video games. In which case $400 was a good price for them.

Resellers looking to flip would have done better with something else of course. And I just wouldn't bother parking for a few pennies or dollars given the risk of accidental infringement. If you're going to flip it, flip it - these short domains aren't "generic with traffic" plays.

Not saying it was your intent, but that would feel a bit like "pump and dump," no? I know (assume) you aren't looking to unload, but bidding just to make a statement may be playing with fire! :bah:

No, you're right, that wasn't my intent -- just thinking more along the lines that I'm sure many of us here would be interested in a name like that, but I don't often see L-L-Ls getting bids at Sedo (or even being at auction at Sedo, for that matter). If/when they start getting bids there on a regular basis, I think that will be a new phase in their value/popularity.

I made the statement feeling fairly sure that no one would actually take my suggestion seriously...but I suppose I should be a little more careful about how I phrase it!

I actually might make a bid for the name because of your suggestion to be honest. I dig it and had you not pointed it out on this thread I might not have even noticed the name on Sedo. It's a good name and IMO worth the next bid increment.......
