I got about 10 of this kind of domain...but none of them get any traffic. Unless end users come around and buy them it seems like a waste.

it happens with most of all short names
their values are in being short ones, they have same google results as LLL.com because hyphens are not seen when you search for them... google, say, A-B-C.com and you will see it

indeed, they are great names for end-users
there were some sales to them made by NPers, including me :sold:

I have thousands of domains that receive little or no traffic but I see real value in them with capital gains. I see it as similar to real estate, you can either go for something which pays for itself and will probably give very low capital gains or you can buy something which is negatively geared and money will be coming out your pocket regularly with the premise that you will get a nice pay day in the future that will make it more than worthwhile.

As long as you're talking about L-L-L.com (and not, say, L-L-L.info or L-L-L-L-L.com), it's not a waste...I'm 99.9% sure you'll see significant increase in reseller value of these in the next 2-5 years, certainly enough to make renewing them worthwhile. And then if you should have end-user interest, you'll get even better ROI.

I agree and yes, I was referring to my hundreds of L-L-L.com's (as well as my LLLL.com's).

No, I'll take em off your hands for $8 each, this way you lose no money and you don't have to endure renewal fees.
