i say at that price its a no brainer.

build a one page landing page and make a logo and make the letters stand for
'buy my work' or something and give a conrtact link, private whois and don't leave regged at godaddy and all will be well

I agree with you on X. It usually stands for eXtreme, eXclusive, eXtra, eXpert. It's very common for ex-words to use X for abbreviation.
