Job Interviews...

Well I just got off the phone with a local security company and it had to of been the strangest phone interview I have had in a long time. The rep or even possibly owner was a nice guy but it seemed like he had trouble focusing on the phone and I could of sworn I heard a TV in the background playing the news or some sort of sports. To me the strangest part is there was a moment of silence when he said they were still looking for applicants for the next 4 to 5 weeks and then after that he suggest that we get together for a face to face interview.

I think I caught him off guard to when I told him I ran a background check on the company he works for because of so many veterans that get scammed. I think he was somewhat impressed that I actually had the gull to tell him I did that. Hopefully all goes well tomorrow and I will know whether or not I have a new job soon or have to keep looking. This lack of capitol is seriously cutting into my wants as I have to pay me needs.

Thought it would be a fun idea to share interesting interviews be it phone or in person that many of us had to go through so lets hear your story. :wave:

One time I was asked, "Are you gay?" It was quite wierd..

N/M I see you're in NY. Never been there but I have heard of stranger things.

My strangest interview was with Royal Mail. I had to lift like 10 kilos and everyone was watching etc. Then I lifted it up with one arm and they said I broke some health and safety thing as I didnt balance it. I was like its only 10 kilos o.0

I also had to show them how I would sort mail, put it through a letterbox and attach items together with elastic bands.

They then subjected me to a running test and various other medicals.

Now bear in mind this is for a postman I really didn't know what to think. I passed everything and got offered the job the next day but I didnt accept as I thought they were bonkers.
