In the interest of preserving good english, you want the double L. However with American spellings often incorrect but widely used, it may be more beneficial in this case to use the single L.

Jewelry is indeed the American spelling, on this side of the pond it's "jewellery".

If I were you, and both were available, I'd grab both. :)

That's always the best way to do.

The more widely used and accepted for the location you would expect your end user will concentrate their online business.

Best wishes,

I am in the business.

Jewelry is the American spelling.
Jewellery is the British spelling.
Jewelery is an alternative spelling listed in some dictionaries.
Jewlery is a common mispelling.

I need to sell off FineJewelry.us , btw, if anyone is interested. Not to be pushy, I'm just in need of money right now! Pm me. I always see it referred to in 1 L, but then I am in the middle of the U.S. No one around here would use two LLs.

As far as capitalising on clicks/mispellings etc, I guess it's best to reg both the single and double 'L' variants.

However, if we were talking about good English, I'd opt for the correct one 'Jewellery' Anything else is just a corruption of good English, but I appreciate good English counts for nothing in the domain industry, or so it would seem.

Both are correctโ€”theyโ€™re just different regional spellings.

  • Jewelry โ†’ American English
  • Jewellery โ†’ British English, plus countries that follow UK spelling (e.g., Australia, Canada, India, South Africa).

So if youโ€™re aiming for a U.S. audience, use jewelry. If youโ€™re writing for the UK or Commonwealth markets, use jewellery.

Since your earlier question used jewellery, Iโ€™m guessing you might be thinking in UK/Commonwealth terms.
