I've HAD IT With GoDaddy's Freezing Checkout Page

Posted on Godaddy's Facebook page.

You just lost two pretty good sales from me, both yesterday and today.

Why?

Because your complicated check out page kept freezing on me when I tried to change the number of years for registration.

So I registered my domains at Domainmonster which has an EASY loading page without all the stupid upselling nonsense.

The default registration is now 5 years, so when you try changing it to one year, it hangs up and freezes.

I've had it with this chronic nonsense at Godaddy.

You don't need to unlock DynaDot domains to push them. Your BS detector is malfunctioning.

From their website control panel...

Please unlock this domain before submitting a Change Ownership request.
and
Locking a domain prevents it from being transferred to another registrar or moved into another Dynadot account.
Transfer Locked: Yes To unlock your domain, please unlock your account.

By freezing checkout, do you mean you can't click on the cart and go to the checkout? That is what I experience in FireFox. I have to go to MyAccount>Cart to get to the checkout.

FireFox is really broken with GoDaddy Auctions. think they must have another set of developers for the control panel, because FireFox works fine with their control panel.

I think Godaddy want you to migrate to Chrome. Personally, I like FireFox a lot because of all the addons. Chrome seems extremely limited for addons considering it has 42% market share of the browser market according to wikipedia (search for "Browser Wars" there)

I think we both got mixed up. The subject at hand was account locking. For example:

Or then again maybe I'm just special?

I had it with Godaddy ever since they allowed a employee to bid against customers in their auctions.

That wouldn't be the owner of the other forum, by any chance?

@ExampleName - The only way you could have pushed a domain to another account would have been if the domain was unlocked to begin with. So maybe your default setting was to have the domains unlocked. My default settings are always locked.

Yeah, seems the anwser was there, somewhere between us. :)

I had trouble with them not letting me transfer away to another Registrar because my overall account is locked, but could push to another user and then there was no problem transfering away. So that was the absurd part for me.
