TOTALLY FED - UP With GoDaddy's "Wonderful" Changes

Once again, Go Daddy has made changes to its log in page, and I just snapped. I had to hunt all over for the domain management button. I finally found it, but now I'm p'od. My rep agrees with me and says complaints have been coming his way.

Here's an edited version of what I posted:

Please tell the developers to PLEASE bring back the old interface. I'm getting tired of hunting around for my domain management panel after signing in.

It's a HUGE pain having to go through a bunch of product offerings when all I want to do is manage my domains (after signing in).

Everything at Go Daddy is just getting complicated with bloated domain management panels, slow loading times, glitches, and short log-in periods. I get kicked off my account every five minutes.

I spend too much time trying to navigate these new interfaces, which, frankly are designed to get customers to spend more money and not designed to make our user experience any easier.

Go Daddy has gone overboard with overwhelming customers with waaay too much advertising, and I think GD has reached the point of diminishing returns.

Thank you.

I also posted a version of this on Facebook (both my timeline and Go Daddy's).

I transferred out over 80+ domains just now, without any problems. Only the .ws domains are stuck at this time, as usual.

5 Year Registration Setting

I saw about a 8 .us domains dropping the other day that I wanted so I clicked to register them. Everything arrived in the shopping cart with 5 years of registration showing. I had to update each one by changing the term to 1 year, but each one took a few seconds to do. By the time I got done, they were no longer available. Some guy overseas got them.

I really dislike being manipulated. It is tantamount to pulling up to a drive-thru window and being told the bill is $20 for a burger, and then being told that they went ahead and put 4 extra burgers in my bag just in case I really wanted them, and then being handed the bag to have me actually take the 4 extra burgers out of the bag myself before being allowed to pay for the original one burger.

What amazes me is the number of websites or is it landing pages that they have.

How Long?

I transferred out over 80+ domains just now, without any problems. Only the .ws domains are stuck at this time, as usual.

How long did it take for the domains to show up on the godaddy "Accept/Decline" transfer page after you paid? How long before clicking accept did these domains show up in the receiving account? Were they .coms? Have you ever had to wait like I am now. If so, for how long?

Thanks.

Time to show up in Accept/Decline10-120mins (mostly the fault of the receiving Registrar not processing the transfers in a timely manner. Which can happen some times). Show up in new Registrar about 15 mins (which is usual). They were mixed extensions, but about 60 .coms. Nope, I've never had to wait the length of time you had to wait. At this time, only the .ws domains not transferred. Everything AOK normal, as far as I'm concerned.

The domain manager changes which they made a few months back was crap.

And a bunch of other dumb stuff, like the log in change of a few weeks ago... wait a few seconds for that damn window to show. You not sure if you clicked or not because there were those few seconds between that click and when the log in window appeared. So you click the login button for a second time... but now the log in window has appeared briefly and disappeared...the home page is greyed out-can't click jack. A refresh is required. What the hay was that all about?

They've changed it now-but because of these issues, I've left some domains with dynadot/moniker/etc and renewed them that side instead of transferring. I seriously don't have time for their jokes.

My brain is telling me to move my names away from Godaddy altogether. Seems like a smart move to me. I'm sure some registrar would be willing to negotiate a lower renewal rate for a bulk transfer to them.

And now I see a baker doing the splits with his legs stretched on two bags of flour, beating off... on his drums of course.

This is what bakers get up with the flour that ends up in your bread! :D

Signs of an emerging New Domain Order? I think so.

New slogan: "IT's Go Time"

Holy crap!

Sounds like a toilet paper commercial.

Very, very bad.

What is going on there, anyway?

I just received an email from Blake Irving, Go Daddy CEO, asking for feedback.

(Heh, heh)

I had a few things to say, and then I sent him to this thread.

2 more things gone that makes me mad.

1. No Whois options to be found anymore other then the bottom of the page

2. The More Options link when searching for a domain is now gone.
This was a great little tool, after searching for a domain you could click More Options and it would open a small window and show you All the top extensions (.COM .DE .CO.UK and so on, and so on) and if they were available or taken.

I really miss that. :(

had my auctions account locked, i bid on and won 9 expiring auctions. The was a slight delay of one day in transferring funds to my paypal acct as paypal was experiencing some issues. I contacted the godaddy auctions department to inform them of the delay, they said it would be okay to wait the one extra day. Surprise...Surprise the day the payment was due even after calling them and emailing to inform them of a one day delay my acct was locked and i was told i would have to pay a $50 fee per domain name that was won to have my acct re-instated. Unlikely i will ever pay it, also unlikely i will stay with godaddy. Why does customer support say one thing and then the opposite happens.

p.s- this vent was sent to Blake Irving.....

The guy in the godaddy ad is a famous actor for martial arts films. Mostly known for the movie blood sport.

Had the same problem with one auction a week ago. They told me the seller must transfer the domain, and that the domain can't be transferred by them. I contact the seller, tell him that he must transfer the domain, and he replies "I don't have to transfer the domain, usually Godaddy transfers the domain". The most interesting part is that I had some issues with the payment verification term Godaddy didn't respect, and in 3 messages they tell me the same thing, the seller must transfer the domain.

Omg

OMG, are you kidding me? The blank transfer screen that I have seen for the last 24 hours wondering where the frigg'n transfers out were that I pad for yesterday has a small gray razor thin vertical bar on its far left with a tiny triangle embedded in it. If you click the triangle the vertical bar expands to the right to reveal the ingoing and outgoing pending transfers .

My goodness, who manages these programmers, Mario and Luigi? Why in the world is it hidden?

Do those fast horizontal scrolls on the home screen make anyone else nauseous? What about a simple fade between ads instead? I suppose I see it more than most, as I'm constantly trying to find valid unused coupon codes. Guess I shouldn't complain, they lose more money than they make off of me.
