I was informed this evening that had a problem with my credit card, I do not know exactly what it is now 5:00 AM here and I can not talk to my card.

One of my buyers I reported that three of the domains that sold it were withdrawn from her account.

I'm solving the situation with her and GoDaddy. The Department will open in nine hours from now and until then I can not do anything.

They informed her that the GoDaddy fraud team said I was compensated value.

So first ask public apology for what happened with @photonmymind and secondly would like everyone who I've sold domains and have a problem to contact me urgently.

I am not dishonest and want to solve.

Apologies again.

I read the other (locked) thread. In my opinion, all that happened is a result of---I'm sorry to say---bad judgement. And everyone suffered for it. -_-

My guess is Go Daddy proactively cancelled Salai Domains' purchases as...well...possible fraud. (Just that F word alone is enough to get everyone angry.) Salai's post re: multiple purchases from his (?) country gave me a clue.

If that clue is what a Go Daddy agent (not customer service) also thought among other clues, then that agent "judged" those purchases as fraud and cancelled them. Cancelling fraudulent purchases, even if not necessarily such, is what many companies proactively do rather than deal with the problems after.

Before I explain further, let's remember that a registrar pays the Registry (VeriSign for .com/.net) a fee for every registration a customer purchases. The Registry, after a period of time I can't recall, will NOT refund a registrar that cancels its customer's purchase---which should include a refund to that customer---after said period. Thus, that registrar loses money.

Seems like those purchases included domains Salai sold to Photonmymind. When Go Daddy cancelled those purchases, the registrar (alas) seized those domains from Photo it essentially lost money for. At least, I think that's what happened from my understanding of details here.

If any of you feel upset after reading my explanation, which I don't blame you if you do, then you can imagine why anyone from Go Daddy will likely hesitate to explain.

On one hand, I agree that Go Daddy ought to contact Salai to confirm those purchases in the first place---and prevent this mess. OTOH, the registrar (facing this kind of problem) maybe fears "tipping off" someone who might've intended to...well...cheat somebody.

You've proven yourself NOT a cheat, Salai, so fear not. I hope you understand what I say.

Or as Salai said, Go Daddy perhaps thought someone hacked his account and caused all this.

My explanation above is based on my past registrar work, which included communicating with customers who faced similar issues. Heh, some of them even called me a scam, thief, etc. despite explaining what happened without having caused their issues to begin with. Not fun.

Anyway, I take heart in knowing that some people here cared to do something despite circumstances. Kudos especially to you, Salai, for having done something to help Photonmymind.

Anyone can correct me if I got wrong here a detail or two. Until then, I wish you all happy holidays.

Go Daddy proactively cancelled Salai Domains' purchases as...well...possible fraud.

They didn't cancel them. They took them out of my account without any information about what was going on or warning and they repossessed them. They did not inform Salai either.
The abusive behaviour was only possible because the names were still in a GD account and I am sure it would have been a completely different story if I had already transferred them out.

Thus, that registrar loses money.

Isn't that a risk which is part of their business? Insurances exist also for that.
I was not an active part of the problematic transaction which was indeed between Salai and GD and between those two it should have been kept.

As for customer support ( yes it was support ) both Salai and I have been on the phone with them for hours ( even simultaneously in a 4 side call ) and they have given us wrong and misleading information all along the way as I have already said. And they really did, from the beginning to the end.

No there is no misunderstanding what they did was wrong towards Salai and me under many different perspectives; not just one of two details.
I have already explained what happened in the other thread which I have asked to be closed because people, too lazy to read it, were just guessing and making nonsense conclusions. Pros can read there if they like, think what they want and make their own decisions but let's not bring the same stuff here.

Thanks

Pretty much everything is rife with risk anyway, hehe. Just depends what one is ready to do if/when that happens. As far as I know, no business insurance in existence (well, US-based) covers this exact risk.

I don't blame you for believing Go Daddy engaged in abusive behavior, as you said, especially after all that happened. I just think there's a rational explanation---albeit that obviously doesn't change the situation.

The problem was with Credit Card company not GoDaddy.
The credit card didnt paid GoDaddy
Ahhhh, makes sense. Thanks for that detail.

GoDaddy what a joke...

They just send me ANOTHER email saying that the same names were cancelled and removed from my account. Luckily it's a "mistake" and they are still owned by me but seriously...what a terrible registrar.
Maybe @Joe Styler can explain...

No need for that Salai,
as I mentioned above the names are still owned by me and the email was "their mistake"..the second in 3 weeks as I have received a "mistake" cancellation email for one of my lllls too.
GD does not even bother sending out a message to inform people to disregard their wrong emails. Considering they literally fill their customers inboxes with messages, sending out a "woops..we made a mistake " message does not seem too much to ask

It is the standard cancellation email that GD sends out.
