I'm looking at single letter country code domains, I'm wondering if this kind of name is valuable, but the extensions might kill it:

Example:

a.co.uk

Very short, but bad extensions. Any info? Thanks guys/girls

You can't register it. They are held by registry.

here in our country we can only register 3 letter word then .ph
the shorter the better, but 1 letter you can't avail publicly.

I've come onto a way to grad one letter domains for country codes, I'm just wondering if the .co.xx makes it less valuable

To be fair there are a couple of gtlds and CCtlds that are making 1 letters and 2 letters available. For example if you want to get a 2 character .st you can at nic.st, this will cost you 999euros tho. If you want a 1,2,3 letter .ws you can at dyndot if you have $49500.00 to spare, at a quick look j and g were available. Rumour has it that .mobi and .coop are also going to release them.

Theres some being sold in the high price sub forum just now.

As for your question the third level single letter will be worth less than say a 2nd level. But they are still very memorable if your using them in the country.. out with the country of origin I personally think they are more of a domain collectors piece. But depends what country and how much you are paying for them.

The .co.uk is a very good extension but you can't get single letter domains in that extension. Some registrars may show it as available and may even take your money, but you won't get the name and will be refunded.

To add to what siga said. You can also register double and single character domain names with the .im extension. For example, you could register e.im for 995 pounds a year (yes it is available).

Someone is trying to make a go of E.TV (single letter .TV). There are actually subdomains of this domain listed for sale at Sedo.

Example: news.e.tv
