I say NO because I think there WILL NOT BE A TIME

I live in the real world, and in the real world when people hear .mobi they say "what the hell??"

in the real world it takes longer than 6 months for people to find out about a new tld. The world also doesnt know what the hell a .us or .info is and those have been out for years. This is definitely the time for .mobi!
