Is this an appraisal scam?

I just got this email from someone, and was wondering if you think this is a legitimate buyer, or some con trying to scam me.

Did you get offers from other people already?

What is your price for the domain mentioned in the subject line?

I'm very interested in this name.

I run a software company. We develop client-server systems and databases in MS SQL and Delphi. Buying and selling domain names is not my main business. Just another way to invest money and make additional income.

IMHO, its a fake, it follows the same type of e-mail as other fake e-mails

Absolutely a scam. The phrase "I run a software company." is a dead giveaway -- it is in most of the appraisal scam emails.

Ask them to make you an offer on the domain. They will refuse. They'll ask you to purchase an appraisal, and once you do, that's the last you'll hear from them.

Yes they always use a position from a software company in their letters
