Yes, I observed that almost a month ago.

I believe part of the reason belongs to a member singing reg fee song again and again.

Anyway, for me, I am looking into developing my names and working on them.

I am not sure about others,

I dunno, I wasn't here last year (except for the very end). So don't blame me for the slowdown! :notme:

^^ :bingo:

Good Luck with your developments, Gamehouse! :tu: :music:

PS. There is an excellent, constructive discussion going on now regarding appraisals here on the site (of all extensions), it's in the "Suggestions Forum" and is entitled, "Domain Appraisals is dead." :gl:
Please add your thoughts, comments, and suggestions ... at your convenience.
Thanks much.

It has been much more quiet here recently. I think we need some high profile .tv sales or sites do reignite the extension. I actually think part of the problem is the lack of quality names out there now. Good names were bought up late last year and maybe the enthusiasm is gone. If some nice sales were posted interest might return.

Yup, well said, most of the good names are already bought up. Now only two worders and premium names left. It is kind of a lull which will be overcome soon. In my opinion, this lull can be used for advantage.

Thanks Jeff, for your good wishes. Thanks for the info about the thread discussing appraisals. In fact, that thread just took a nose dive in wrong direction and came back on to the track I guess. Nevertheless, I am no good in relation to appraisals.

:) Well, I guess it might be the "January effect" a slowdown generally - is there such a thing on here?
But, its now glorious February, and the season of "lurve" is upon us, so maybe things will pick up soon!

I think part of it IS that the more fast-paced excitement of picking up great names is slowing down and people (and their wallets) need some time to digest that.

The drop in quality of available non-premium names relative to early December is astounding.

Hopefully, the next phase brings development and sales as well...

Australia, you are right, it is slowing down. I was away a few times for a week and did not miss much at this forum. BTW about great sales, out of curiousity I had Sedo appraise see.tv and in the appraisal they mentioned some .tv sales, one of them was new for me: cn.tv sold for $ 30,000 at Sedo. I did not know of this sale, but it's not a bad one.

Nothing is slowing down , what would you like to discuss this fourm was created to discuss .tv and share ideas. Australia what would you like to contribute or discuss, no thankfully like over all discussion there is not a bunch of NP$ spam threads like what is your dumbest domain.

I will try to get more artciles and contests and stuff Here Australia. DOT TV is tight lipped about a lot of statistics and other stuff.

Heh, I'm trying to add a lot of .tv domains to the available thread.... I ran out of money after paying for Xmas. Gotta recharge in February - and develop 3 or 4 sites - and start a buying spree again in March.

Hey! Now we're talkin'!
I search the .TVs ery so often but run into what everyone else that's into them runs into- We congratulate you on your excellent taste. You have selected a, [trumpet flair], Premium Domain. Lucky you! :hehe: Damn, there are some good ones avail, too. I keep thinking that maybe I'll get lucky and a good one will slip through the cracks, as was the case w/ one of our members who picked up Plasma.TV for a few hundred.

This has probably, already, been mentioned, but TNT's on-air advertising is eschewing the .com in favor of the .TV and sending people to TNT.TV

I have been stocking up slowly on Dot Tvs.

Although it is kind of quiet I think the future looks very bright for this extension.

Broadband video streaming will make the "TV" ending very popular as this medium becomes more accessible to the public.

I see more companies whose main advertising focus is the television market using Dot TV to promote their site.

Obviously having the Dot Com would be beneficial but many companies seem willing to brand on a shorter easier to remember dot TV domain than register a longer less memorable dot com or paying the high price for the shorter more preferred Dot Com.
