Just a question because of an estibot appraisal.
And why would estibot appraise org.uk higher than co.uk for instance?

thanks

Estibot appraisals, generally speaking and with all the best of intents ... are a good and VERY GENERAL guide to basic valuations and should be used with all other known appraisal methods, IMHO. As to why an .org.uk had been appraised higher, potentially, than a .co.uk ... I have no idea! :| :imho:

Best of Luck.

.co.uk is dominant in the UK.
.org.uk, ltd.uk, plc.uk, .me.uk etc are lagging far behind.
As for .org.uk it usually means it is actually used for a non-profit organization of some sort. It's less 'diluted' than .org but not very commercial in nature. If you won't use it, stay away IMHO.

Only the creator could tell you about the inner workings of Estibot, personally I would not decide my purchases based on it.

My theory and this is only my theory, is that as .org.uk is not as popular as .co.uk the appraisaly metrics do not take this into account and actually appraise it as a .org not a .org.uk. You may be able to prove this comparison by typing the domains with both .org and .org.uk. I've done this with one of my domains and it proves the same results. Generally pick I only pick up .org.uk if the keywords is fantastic ie "consolidate" or "campgrounds" but each to there own.
