What you people think about pure 3 letter NFT with different extensions ?
Let say NFT.gb.net or these kind extensions but with pure NFT in it.
Any thought on it ?
I'm waiting for people to put some light on this.
My question is how much this could be valued :---
Pure 3 L "NFT" but with non famous TLD ( .gb.net )
I am getting this for below $ 100. What you people think is it worth investing ? Do I go forward and buy it ?
Name is pure and 3 letter ( NFT ) but the TLD is non famous and unknown kind of ( .gb.net )
Do I able to flip it for $ 1000, if I buy it below $ 100 ?
Please reply

It's a fad that will be ruined after the house sale news. IMO above comments are off topic.

Yes I already pointed this out. Trying to figure it out.

secretly shared? And not sure🤔

So you’re not sure it was a 5 figure sale.

I heard it was around 20 btc but also heard it was non disclosed so everything is just a guess without any confirmation.

Dont waste your money on weak extensions, this applies to all domain niches. Remember, the idea is to sell these names.

Okay, I let it go. I decided NOT to acquire it.
As I am out of it now, so I don't have problem to tell that from where I was trying to acquire it and where it is listed for sell.
NFT.gb.net is available on NameCheap marketplace as BuyNow for $99. If anyone think they can buy and can sell it they can do that.

Can anyone explain pls what an nft is?

Is it a crypto?

How do you sell a tweet and why would anyone buy something for millions that can get taken down by Twitter if it goes bankrupt

Correction : available for $ 90 ( NOT $ 99 )

Here is my understanding of what NFT is (I hope it’s the right one, please feel free for anyone who knows better to add to it if it’s not complete):

The definition is in the name itself,

NFT = Non Fungible Token

The Non Fungible part refers to anything that is unique and can not be replaced by another unit of the same thing like a unique painting, poem, Tweet, or even a domain name as opposed to things that are Fungible which means that they can be replaced by a unit of the same thing like a bitcoin which means that it doesn’t matter which bitcoin you use they are all the same and can be traded for one another.

So basically Non Fungible means unique and irreplaceable as opposed to Fungible which means replaceable and not being so unique.

Now we get to the Token part of it:

Which means you can create a digital certificate for your Non Fungible item by creating a Token for it which means adding it to the Ledger on the BlockChain.

In many cases it is this Token (certificate) itself that is being bought and sold as NFT, the actual item may or may not come with it.

Theoretically you can Tokenize any Non Fungible item or thing, but right now it seems that Art related items are the most popular.

Now as to why some NFTs are selling for millions of dollars that's the part that I am trying to figure out myself,

Some people say that NFT is going through a bubble and that later on even though the idea behind NFT might survive and flourish, but a lot of the value might evaporate for many of the things that are being bought and sold right now.

As with anything new there is an element of being able to take a chance (gamble) that things will end up as being projected.

IMO

This stuff is quickly going from a trend to complete nonsense -

Why Did Someone Pay $560,000 for a Picture of My Column?

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/26/technology/nft-sale.html

Bidding on NFTs, he said, had become a kind of sport among cryptocurrency enthusiasts, many of whom have been sitting on huge virtual piles of Ethereum and Bitcoin for years. Every NFT auction produces a public record of bids, and high-profile auctions can attract a crowd of people just hoping to be noticed among the losers.

“The bid itself is becoming marketing,” he said.

But Mr. Agrawal clarified that some bids were less strategic, and more about showing off.

“A lot of the NFT buyers at this high level are fabulously wealthy, and they’re just collecting for the sake of collecting,” he said.

With that said, as a domain investor you can still possibly capitalize on the lunacy.

The craziest nonfungible token sales so far

https://www.cnet.com/news/nft-bubble-the-craziest-nonfungible-token-sales-so-far/

NFT farts.... :xf.confused:

$85 for a fart
When COVID-19 lockdown began last March, Brooklyn filmmaker Alex Ramírez-Mallis and four friends did the obvious thing: Started sending audio recordings of their farts to one another through a WhatsApp group chat. One year later, Ramírez-Mallis is auctioning 52 minutes of audio flatulence as an NFT.

The auction's starting price: $85. Would you pay $85 for farts? Would be a solid investment if you did, since someone out there was ultimately willing to pay 0.24 ethereum, or about $420, for the NFT. What's more, in addition to selling the 52-minute recording, he's also selling NFTs for individual farts. Several have been sold, including Fart #420 for about $90.

"If people are selling digital art and GIFs, why not sell farts?" Ramírez-Mallis told the New York Post. Truer words, never spoken.

Yep, this is exactly what will happen, the same as all these niches. Its always hyped up in the beginning, all because of a few ridiculous sales by, as Brad said, fabulously wealthy people.

I see lot of new domainers and even some experienced people buying up the left-overs for some reason. These names wont sell. I will get told off Im sure for telling people for stop buying these names but the exact same thing happened with the VR niche and people told me "this niche is different" bla blah and sure enough theyre stuck with 100s and even 1000's of names they cant sell. I'm just saying be careful and try buy a couple of decent names from people who bought them in 2018/2019.

@gilescoley perfect thing to compare to remember VR you couldn't buy VR names fast enough any dumb Keyword with vr was selling so fast yet now even good vr domains are sitting ^^

also i wouldn't buy from resellers they all seem to have unrealistic expectations for the pricing

Yeah but the crap VR sales were all between domainers, not end user sales and they mainly low xx and xxx sales. Good VR names constantly get offers but owners wont sell them yet, its still too early, waot intol VR is mainstream, unless of course you get a good xx,xxx offer.

You are right !
My analysis VR will come into action once the Vr comes into reality into our daily life, till then it will sea-sawing. But I'm sure that we will see it sooner or later.

I also have animal related, hope to see good ROI in times to come.
So as I said earlier that some good news will soon expected, so here is the jump of NFTs started and what a nice jump that too from a stylish horse, as horse is always jump big.
Now time is for more jumps will start coming. And these jumps will also merge with DeFi and Metaverse related domains. Keep watching and enjoy the ride.
Congratulations to the seller !
