.tv Is it worth using SEDO auctions any more.

I notice that BusinessChannel.TV is up for sale at SEDO - sold for $10000 in 2006 and yet according to SEDO stats has only been viewed by 12 people in its second day at auction.

twelve people!!!!!

I recently allowed Skegness.tv to go to auction after an offer and was VERY surpised at how few people viewed the information.
Not too long ago, it was not that uncommon to see 1000+ viewings of a good name.

Is this down to the new layout at SEDO for stuff on auction. The opening page used to show the auction stuff, now you have to search around.

Surely this is feeding into the hands of other auctioneers.

I think its due to new design. I hope its not because of .TV :)

I believe it is the new layout - I don't look at SEDO auctions as often as I used to because it requires an extra click or two to view.

Definately down to the new layout! It is one of the most un-user friendly I have seen!

It does not in any way encourage buyers, and is a sellers nightmare.......Plus to cap it all it appears that in most cases the minimum auction fee is now $150.

It cannot be good for business wether seller, buyer or even Sedo themselves. IMO It needs to be re-vamped ASAP so that the auctions automatically show on the intro page before Sedo loses many (more) potential customers.

IMO the new layout may not be condusive to broad viewership, but at least everyone that make a bid is "certified". Hopefully it will cut down on the deadbeats!

The domain has been on auction for 16 hours. The offer for $500 was made on Sunday evening and I did not approve the auction until last night. The auction ends one week from the date the initial offer was made.

So far a second bid has been placed and there have been 19 viewers.

Also the fee is now only 10% regardless if you have the domain parked there or not. The $150 fee only applies to certain cctlds, not .tv

Hate to say it as well
The new design leaves alot to desire
Reading around the forums there seems to be many people that feel as if Sedo has not been doing a good job as of late regarding customer service, parking and selling as well as support of multi level format domains.
could be the reason.

I noticed the lower number of views on all auctions, this did start about the time of the new layout.. Before the change, if I had a domain on auction at SEDO, it would always have between 600-900 views during the seven days.. Now, all auctions seem to have a lower number of views, just like this one....

I guess SEDO figured all that traffic was hard on its servers. Wouldnt want the site to come crashing down now, eh?

I think you have a better chance of selling a .TV to a stranger in Walmart than on Sedo. IMO.

before I used to browse the auctions, now honestly, I don't even know where to go to look, or even care to.

Yeah, the new layout is terrible. I still have issues finding different sections and the auction views are down dramatically across the board on SEDO.

Meanwhile drop sites have more bidders than ever, so it is obvious this is a SEDO issue more than a domain market issue in general.

The buyers are there, they just aren't using SEDO as much as before. I wish they would just bring back the old layout already.
