question-answered Is domain .ru.com used by Russian?

Hi,

I found a domain extension .ru.com which is managed by CentralNic. My question is, how Russian people see this domain extension. Is it new extension? Is it accepted by Russian for local entity? I know that .ru, .com.ru, .net.ru, and .org.ru are officially domains for Russian, managed by Russian Government. How about .ru.com? Any info?

No. I am Russian and have never ever seen the domain ru.com in use (nor any other ''doubled'' tld in the Russian domain market). There are .ru, .рф and the good old .com that Russians use - that's it.

No. It is a subdomain of ru.com, not an actual domain name.
