    I just regged:

    PMU.IO

The Power Management Unit (PMU) is a microcontroller that governs power functions of digital platforms. This microchip has many similar components to the average computer, including firmware and software, memory, a CPU, input/output functions, timers to measure intervals of time, as well as analog to digital converters to measure the voltages of the main battery or power source of the computer. The PMU is one of the few items to remain active even when the computer is completely shut down, powered by the backup battery.

As per Estibot, 11.2 Million Broad Mo Searches and 7.5 Million Exact Mo Searches.

PMU has 19 million Google Results.

Power Management Unit has 200K Google results.

So again, what is your record with .io sales? How many do you have? How many sold?

Well some of the names @morf13 have are good enough to make sale. and one good sale is enough to bear all his losses if he couldn't sell other domains.. @defaultuser What do you think it is not possible to sell them? Even a crappy domain gets sold.. Do you people always walk behind .com domains? .io , .co, .ai are the new trends and I can tell you they are equally competitive with .com domains..

I have 12 months to sell them. If they don't sell, then I'll know a year from now. Skypreet is right, if only one of them sells for $1000, I am ahead of the game.

@defaultuser, it's your opinion some of these names are bad, so, in your opinions which ones have you seen that are good?
Also curious, would you not admit that PMU isn't worth, something? As I proved above, it's short(3 characters), and is directly related to tech & Computers, with really good search results. Or will you have some reason why this one is bad too?

I am a newbie, and just rolling the dice with some stuff,so i have a lot to learn and don't mind hearing opinions or criticism, but I put more stock in the opinions of people that are actually buying and selling these as opposed to people that just sit back and coach from the sidelines.

Somebody like ca98am's opinion would personally be more valuable to me, since he is out there active in the .io domains

.ai a trend? One sale last year were recorded and the last word.ai that were recorded sold in 2011 for £200, that don't sound trendy to me.

    ke.ai - sold on Sedo for $2500 - (2014)
    travel.ai -sold on Sedo for $3528 (2014)
    x.ai - sold on Sedo for $3000 (2013)
    f.ai - sold on Sedo for $1734(2013)

Come on man....none of the tld gets sold unless people know what it can be used for. .io is Indian Ocean territory tld and people still use it because they think it can be used in Tech industry as it resembles Input/Output. Similarly .ai can be used as Artificial Intelligence which is the future of technology...

From an article a couple weeks ago, "File.io continued the resurgence of large one-word .IO sales, securing just over $4,000"

Find the hidden gem in this sentence:
And one good sale is enough to bear all of his losses.

"Equally competitive with .com names..... "
Seriously?!?!? First name I found on flippa with reserve was medication.io. Do you think in .com I would ask $700 for that? $7,000? $70,000?
    .
And if none of them sell you're behind in the game.
A hack of keia and single characters?
That's your proof of an extension trend?

An article ? You mean a blog post on Flippa.com?

Many looked to Philip Morris for advice on the health of smoking as they were active in the tobacco industry. Worked out well?

You can ignore me. I'm merely suggesting that you court a broader opinion than an .io thread and showcase especially as you don't seem to understand the difference between a File.io/Hologram.io and InternetAccess.io.

    As for PMU.io? It's a random 3 letters.
As for tech? Don't confuse tech hardware with "tech savvy or tech in the accelerator/incubator/VC/Y Combinator sense". It's not "tech domains" ... its "tech end users". Not the same thing.

Yes...if hacks works, why not proper keyword domains? I don't care what you say because ultimately it's the end user who buy domains...every domainer has different opinion... hope @morf13 can sell those domains and keep the thread bookmarked to let everyone know he DID sell the domain...

Seriously, did you not read this??

    PMU.IO
ThePower Management Unit (PMU) is amicrocontrollerthat governspowerfunctions of digital platforms. PMU has 19 million Google Results.
Power Management Unit has 200K Google results.

You don't make sense? PMU, I just showed you what it means, so how can you say it's a random 3 letter domain? Look above in RED. Is this not important?

SMS.io currently at $4000 on Flippa with 3 days to go
JUL.io currently at $100 with 22 days to go
OTC.io at $150 with 6 days to go

And in fairness, there are 3 letter domains not bid on yet with many days to go. I am not going to research all of them, but I proved to you what PMU stands for above and it's directly related to INPUT/OUTPUT, do you not admit that?

With the money people are willing to throw away gamble in this extension, I have a good business idea for park.io. Pre-sell 12 backorders for $999.

    @morf13 no.

I think that defaultuser is perfectly within their right to speak their opinion about .IO domains.

I don't disagree, but to make a statement like, PMU.io is a random string of letters, when I've outlined above why it's more than that, seems unreasonable.

Thanks for your opinion but you know what they say, everybody has an opinion. Were you one of the people critical of my .org that I regged and sold for $588a few days after registering it?

I don't understand why folks don't buy on the aftermarket? You can get the absolute best keywords on the cheap.

Just bought one of the oldest .io around. Wasn't much at all.

There is a glorification of the handreg-flip by domainsherpa, blogs, threads on here...

People get excited like when the news shows a big lottery winner at night and you tell yourself you're going to go out and buy tickets for the next big jackpot.

The same sources often say "when you're starting out, don't go out and handreg a bunch of domains" but that part often gets ignored.

    I wonder what you got!

    Art.io

There are some great buys being had right now. Registering or even getting park.io sloppy seconds isn't worthwhile IMO.

Now you believe your own hype.
Of course it is a random LLL, until you decided otherwise. There are 17576 possible LLL combinations in every TLD, most of which must be still unregistered in .io. But you are amazingly smart, you were able to snatch that gem before everyone else realized the value. Everybody could have registered that particular domains, but you've been the first to register it, because you are so smart. How did you do it ?

Maybe you should stick to .org domains. Your primary concern right now should be to get out fast before the tulip mania goes away.
Many other domaining fads were born on NP before.

I wonder why there are so many newcomers in the hype threads ?
