Hey guys,

Just received an interesting e-mail that appears to be from "Enom Whois Compliance Department". It says that there is a problem with my phone number "Phone is malformed or invalid" on my whois data and I have 15 days to fix or risk my domains being suspended.

I checked my contact information and a few of my domains but my phone number seems to be in order. I sent a support ticket to see if they could shed some light onto this issue.

Just wondering if anyone else has received an e-mail like this from Enom?

I'll update once I know more.

there have been some enom phishing attempts recently.

was the email address (SENT FROM) correct?

I hope you didn't click a link in the email.

The e-mail appears legit from what I can see. I don't click on links from e-mails unless it's a confirmation of some type that I just initiated.

This is getting very strange. The Enom rep said that the message I received could have been from a WHOIS accuracy complaint filed via ICANN's anonymous WHOIS inaccuracy complaint form".

He dialed my number and received the message "The number you have reached is not in service".

I've had this number for many years now. I had a few people try the number just to make sure it was still working and they got through to me with no issues.
